NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 23 of the Family Courts Act,

1984 (Central Act 66 of 1984), the Government of Kerala, in consultation with the High

Court of Kerala, hereby make the following rules further to amend the Family Courts

(Kerala) Additional Rules, 1990 under G.O.(P)No.56/1990/Home dated 6^th April, 1990

RULES

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Family Courts

(Kerala) Additional (Amendment) Rules, 2026.

    (2) They shall come in to force at once.

2. Amendment of the Rules.-In the Family Courts (Kerala) Additional Rules, 1990, in

rule 5, for the word "thousand", the words "One thousand and five hundred" shall be

substituted.

Explanatory Note

(This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general

purport.)

The existing sitting fee of the Counsellors attached to the Family Courts is

thousand rupees per day. The High Court of Kerala, has proposed to enhance the sitting

fee for the Counsellors attached to the Family Courts as one thousand and five hundred

rupees per day. Government have, considered the proposal and decided to enhance the

sitting fee of Counsellors as One thousand and five hundred rupees per day.

The notification is intended to achieve the above objective.
