G.O. (Rt.) No. 805/2026/LBR.

Thiruvananthapuram, 24th July 2026.

Whereas, the Government are of opinion that an industrial dispute exists between

Mr. Kamarudheen, Proprietor, N. K. Silks, Kottiyam P. O., Kollam-691 571 and the

workwomen of the above referred establishment 1. Smt. Sangeetha, B., Biju Vilasam,

Kalluvathukkal P. O., Kollam-691 578, 2. Smt. Sheeba, A., Deepabhavanam, Thazham,

Chathannoor, Kollam-691 572 represented by The President, Quilon Shops & Establishment

Employees Union (INTUC) Reg. No. 205/76, Mundakkal, Kollam-01 in respect of matters

mentioned in the annexure to this order;

2. And whereas, in the opinion of government it is necessary to refer the said industrial

dispute for adjudication;

3. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 10(1) (c) of the

Industrial Disputes Act of 1947 (Central Act XIV of 1947) the Government hereby direct that

the said industrial dispute be referred for adjudication to the Labour Court, Kollam. The Labour

Court will pass the award within a period of three months.

ANNEXURE

“Whether the denial of employment of Smt. Sangeetha, B., sales woman and

Smt. Sheeba, A., sales woman by the management of N. K. Silks, Kottiyam,

Kollam is justifiable or not? If not what relief the workers are entitled to?”
