Whereas the Government of Kerala have as per GO(P) No. 649/2015/RD

dated: 04.12.2015 appointed the Special Tahsildar(LA) Number 2 , Kundara to

perform the function of a Collector for the purpose of Land acquisition under the

Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition Rehabilitation and

Resettlement Act -2013.

And Whereas, the Government hereby appoint Deputy Collector (LA), Kollam

as the Administrator for the purpose of Rehabilitation and Resettlement to the

poposed Acquisition.

And Whereas, it appears to the Government that the land specified in the

schedule below is needed or is likely to be needed for public purpose to wit for

construction of Thevalakkara 110 KV Sub station.

NOW, THEREFORE, Notice is hereby given to that effect the whom soever it

may concern, in accordance with the provision of subsection (1) of 11 of the Right to

Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and

Resettlement Act -2013.

All persons interested in the said land are accordingly required to lodge before

the Special Tahsildar (LA) Number 2, Kundara within 15 days from the date of

publication of the above notification or after giving public notice regarding this

whichever is later, a statement in writing of their objection, if any, regarding the

updation of land records or title in respect of the land proposed for acquisition. Any

objection or statement which is received after the due date or which does not clearly

explain as to how the objector interested in the land is liable to be summarily

Summary of Social Impact Assessment Report

The construction of a 110 KV Substation in Thevalakkara village of

Karunagappally Taluk by acquiring 0.3671 H of land comprised in Block 15, resurvey

numbers 173/1,173/1-2, 173/2, 173/3, 173/4-2, 173/4-3, 173/14 in the possession of

Manmohan Singh Jain, Rahul Jain, Surendrakumar Jain, Saraswathy, Raju and Baby

is expected to resolve low voltage issues and frequent power interruptions in the

Thevalakkara area.

The acquisition of land for the construction of a 110 KV Substation in

Thevalakkara can be defined as a public purpose under the RFCTLARR Act,2013.

Only the land absolutely essential for the project has been proposed for acquisition.

No other land under public use in the immediate vicinity of the land earmarked for

acquisition.The proposed land is the most suitable land for the project and the land is

situated near the centre of the Thevalakkara Panchayath. Hence the study team

recommended for implementation of land acquisition procedures.
