NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by 1st proviso to Section 25 of the Right to Fair
Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013
(Central Act 30 of 2013), the Government of Kerala hereby extend the time limit in publishing the
Award as per Section 25 to the Declaration issued under sub-section (1) of Section 19 as per
G.O.(P)No.36/2024/RD dated 27th January 2024 and published in the Extraordinary Gazette No.354
dated 29th January 2024 namely:-

Extension
As per G.O.(P)No.36/2024/RD dated 27th January 2024 and published in the Extraordinary
Gazette No.354 dated 29th January 2024, the Declaration in accordance with the provisions of sub-
section (1) of Section 19 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition,
Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 with regard to the acquisition of 5.9458 Hectares of land in
Pallichal,Balaramapuram, Athiyannoor and Perumpazhuthoor villages of Thiruvananthapuram District
for Nemom-Neyyattinkara Railway doubling has been issued.
AND WHEREAS, the District Collector, Thiruvananthapuram has reported that as per Section
25 of LARR Act, 2013 mentions that the Collector shall make an Award within a period of 12 months
from the date of issuance of 19(1) Declaration ie, the 19(1) Declaration issued as per
G.O.(P)No.36/2024/RD dated 27th January 2024 and published in the Extraordinary Gazette No.354
dated 29th January 2024 and extended as per G.O.(P) No.63/2025/RD dated 18th February 2025 and
published in the Extraordinary Gazette No.819 dated 5th March 2025, G.O.(P) No.333/2025/RD dated
25th August 2025 and published in the Extraordinary Gazette No.3093 dated 27th August 2025 and
G.O.(P) No.41/2026/RD dated 23rd January 2026 and published in the Extraordinary Gazette No.322
dated 27th January 2026 expired on 27-07-2026 and therefore requested to extend the time limit in
publishing the Award.
NOW, THEREFORE, sanction is accorded to extend the time limit in publishing the Award for
a further period of six months from 28-07-2026 by invoking the provisions contained in 1st proviso to
Section 25 of the LARR Act, 2013 with regard to the acquisition of 5.9458 Hectares of land in
Pallichal, Balaramapuram, Athiyannoor and Perumpazhuthoor villages of Thiruvananthapuram District
for Nemom-Neyyattinkara Railway doubling.

Explanatory Note

G.O.(P)No.36/2024/RD dated 27th January 2024 and published in the Extraordinary Gazette
No.354 dated 29th January 2024, has been issued in accordance with the provisions of sub-section (1)
of section 19 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation

hereby extend the time limit for publishing the Award.
The notification is intended to achieve the above object.
