NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 22 of the Kerala Motor Vehicles

Taxation Act, 1976 (Act 19 of 1976), the Government of Kerala, being satisfied that it is necessary in

the public interest so to do, hereby exempt the tax payable under the said Act in respect of the

following three vehicles to be registered in the name of the Secretary, Kerala State Human Rights

Commission, Turbo Plus Tower, PMG Junction, Vikas Bhavan P.O., Thiruvananthapuram -695033.

Explanatory Note

(This does not form the part of the notification, but it is intended to indicate its general purport.)

The Secretary, Kerala State Human Rights Commission,Turbo Plus Tower, PMG Junction, Vikas

Bhavan P.O., Thiruvananthapuram -695033 has requested the Government of Kerala for exemption

from payment of the motor vehicles tax in respect of the three vehicles to be registered in the name of

the authority. The Government have examined the request in detail and decided to exempt the said

vehicles from payment of motor vehicles tax under section 22 of the Kerala Motor Vehicles Taxation

Act, 1976 (Act 19 of 1976).

The notification is intended to achieve the above object.
