No. KAUGA/5249/2023-GA-E3 Dated : 19.08.2026

The following amendment to the Statute of the Kerala Agricultural University prescribing the

method of recruitment for the appointment of Non-Teaching Staff of the Kerala Agricultural

University, issued vide Notification No.GA/E3/41421/2009 dated 20.12.2012, is hereby

published for general information.

The Statute amendment was approved by the General Council of the Kerala Agricultural

University on 21.02.2026 and received the assent of the Chancellor on 23.07.2026 under

Section 49(5) of the Kerala Agricultural University Act, 1971.

AMENDMENT

Notwithstanding anything contained in existing Statutes for the appointment of Non-Teaching

Staff of the Kerala Agricultural University, the appointment by direct recruitment of employees

to the non-teaching posts of Kerala Agricultural University shall be made through Kerala

Public Service Commission, in accordance with the provisions of Kerala Public Service

Commission (Additional Functions as Respects the Services under the Universities) Act, 2015

(Act 18 of 2015) and the internal selection (by transfer of post) to various non-teaching posts

under the Kerala Agricultural University is vested with the University as per the prevailing

statute of Kerala Agricultural University for the concerned post.

This amendment shall come into force on the date of the notification in the Gazette.
