NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by 1st proviso to Section 25 of the Right to Fair
Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013
(Central Act 30 of 2013), the Government of Keralam hereby extend the time limit in publishing the
Award as per Section 25 to the Declaration issued under sub-section (1) of Section 19 as per
Proceedings No.K13-369437/2021 dated 26th February, 2025 and published in the Extraordinary
Gazette No.747 dated 28th February, 2025, namely:-

Extension
Proceedings No.K13-369437/2021 dated 26th February, 2025 and published in the Extraordinary
Gazette No.747 dated 28th February, 2025, the Declaration in accordance with the provisions of sub-
section (1) of Section 19 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition,
Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 with regard to the acquisition of land in Vizhinjam village of
Thiruvananthapuram District for the construction of a Land Connectivity Junction connecting
Vizhinjam International Port Road with National Highway 66 has been issued.
AND WHEREAS, the District Collector, Thiruvananthapuram has reported that as per Section
25 of LARR Act, 2013 mentions that the Collector shall make an Award within a period of 12 months
from the date of issuance of 19(1) Declaration i.e, the 19(1) Declaration issued as per Proceedings
No.K13-369437/2021 dated 26th February, 2025 and published in the Extraordinary Gazette No.747
dated 28th February, 2025 and extended as per G.O.(P) No.133/2026/RD dated 13th March 2026 and
published in the Extraordinary Gazette No.1179 dated 13th March 2026 expires on 27/08/2026, and
therefore requested to extend the time limit in publishing the Award.
NOW, THEREFORE, sanction is accorded to extend the time limit in publishing the Award for
a further period of six months from 28/08/2026 by invoking the provisions contained in 1st proviso to
Section 25 of the LARR Act, 2013 with regard to the acquisition of land in Vizhinjam village of
Thiruvananthapuram District for the construction of a Land Connectivity Junction connecting
Vizhinjam International Port Road with National Highway 66.

Explanatory Note

Proceedings No.K13-369437/2021 dated 26th February, 2025 and published in the Extraordinary
Gazette No.747 dated 28th February, 2025, has been issued in accordance with the provisions of sub-
section (1) of section 19 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition,
Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 with regard to the acquisition of land in Vizhinjam village of
