NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by 1st proviso to Section 25 of the Right to Fair
Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013
(Central Act 30 of 2013), the Government of Keralam hereby extend the time limit in publishing the
Award as per Section 25 to the Declaration issued under sub-section (1) of Section 19 as per
Proceedings No.K3-574151/2023 dated 30th June, 2025 and published in the Extraordinary Gazette
No.2417 dated 02nd July, 2025, namely:-

Extension
Proceedings No.K3-574151/2023 dated 30th June, 2025 and published in the Extraordinary
Gazette No.2417 dated 02nd July, 2025, the Declaration in accordance with the provisions of sub-
section (1) of Section 19 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition,
Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 with regard to the acquisition of 0.4172 Hectares of land in
Vellanad & Aruvikkara villages of Thiruvananthapuram District for the development of Nedumangad-
Aruvikkara-Vellanad (Reach-2) road has been issued.
AND WHEREAS, the District Collector, Thiruvananthapuram has reported that as per Section
25 of LARR Act, 2013 mentions that the Collector shall make an Award within a period of 12 months
from the date of issuance of 19(1) Declaration i.e, the 19(1) Declaration issued as per Proceedings
No.K3-574151/2023 dated 30th June, 2025 and published in the Extraordinary Gazette No.2417 dated
02nd July, 2025, expired on 01-07-2026, and therefore requested to extend the time limit in publishing
the Award.
NOW, THEREFORE, sanction is accorded to extend the time limit in publishing the Award for
a further period of six months from the date of expiry of 19(1) Declaration ie, 01-07-2026 by invoking
the provisions contained in 1st proviso to Section 25 of the LARR Act, 2013 with regard to the
acquisition of 0.4172 Hectares of land in Vellanad & Aruvikkara villages of Thiruvananthapuram
District for the development of Nedumangad-Aruvikkara-Vellanad road (Reach-2).

Explanatory Note

Proceedings No.K3-574151/2023 dated 30th June, 2025 and published in the Extraordinary
Gazette No.2417 dated 02nd July, 2025, has been issued in accordance with the provisions of sub-
section (1) of section 19 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition,
Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 with regard to the acquisition of 0.4172 Hectares of land in
Vellanad & Aruvikkara villages of Thiruvananthapuram District for the development of Nedumangad-
Aruvikkara-Vellanad (Reach-2) road. As per Section 25 of LARR Act, 2013 mentions that the Collector
shall make an Award within a period of 12 months from the date of issuance of 19(1) Declaration i.e,
the 19(1) Declaration issued as per Proceedings No.K3-574151/2023 dated 30th June, 2025 and
published in the Extraordinary Gazette No.2417 dated 02nd July, 2025, expired on 01-07-2026 and
hereby extend the time limit for publishing the Award.
The notification is intended to achieve the above object.
