S.O. 17 - In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 28-A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (Act
No. 43 of 1951), the Lieutenant Governor is pleased to designate the following officers on deputation to the Election
Commission for conduct of the General Parliamentary Elections-2024 and such officers during the period, be subject
to the control, superintendence and discipline of the Election Commission:
1. Addl. Director General of Police (Head of Police), UT of Ladakh.
2. Deputy Inspector General of Police, Leh-Kargil Range.
3. All SSPs/SPs, UT of Ladakh.
4. All Police Officers and personnel to the rank of Police Constables in both the districts of UT Ladakh.
5. All Officers and Personnel of Armed Forces of the UT and other forces and officers/personnels of both the
Districts of UT Ladakh deployed on election related duties.
