Notification

Ladakh, the 03^rd of July, 2024.

S.O 49 - In exercise of the powers conferred under section 37 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, read

with S.O 2506 (E) dated: 28.06.2024 issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, the

Administration of Union territory of Ladakh hereby orders that the:-

a) Police Control Room PHQ Ladakh and District Police Control Rooms in each district of the Union

Territory of Ladakh shall be the “Police Control Rooms” for the purposes of sub-section (a) of section 37

of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023;

LADAKH GAZETTE : EXTRAORDINARY 2

b) Deputy Superintendent of Police(Headquarters) at District level and Senior most Assistant Sub-Inspector of

Police in each Police Station of the Union Territory of Ladakh shall be the 'Designated Police Officers' for

the purposes of sub-section(b) of Section 37 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.

This notification shall be deemed to come into force w.e.f. 01.07.2024.
