Ladakh, the 13^th January, 2025

S.O. 09 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 9 of the Manoeuvres, Field Firing and

Artillery Practice Act, 1938, read with S.R.O. 02 dated 19-12-1957, issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the

Administration of Union territory of Ladakh hereby defines an area of land measuring 1259.25 (ha) in the

Changthang Cold Desert Wildlife Sanctuary diverted by the Forest, Ecology & Environment Department vide order

No. 21-LDO of 2024 dated 09-04-2024 in favor of the user agency for Mahe Field Firing Range, particulars

whereof are given in the Schedule below, as the area for purposes of the said sub-section for a period of ten (10)

years with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the official Gazette of Union territory of Ladakh.
