यत:, भारत के उपराष्ट्रपतत पद भरने के लिए तनर्ााचन करने के लिए,

तनर्ााचन आयोग द्र्ारा, राष्ट्रपतीय और उपराष्ट्रपतीय तनर्ााचन अधितनयम, 1952

की िारा 4 की उपिारा (1) के अिीन अधिसूचना जारी की गई है। ऐसे तनर्ााचन

के लिए तनर्ााचन अधिकारी, मैं, पी.सी. मोदी एतद्द्र्ारा सूचना देता हूूँ कक—

(i) अभ्यर्थी या उसके ककसी प्रस्र्थापकों या समर्थाकों में से ककसी एक द्र्ारा

नामतनदेशन पत्र तनम्नहस्ताक्षरकताा को कमरा संख्या आरएस 28, प्रर्थम ति,

संसद भर्न, नई ददल्िी स्स्र्थत उसके कायाािय में या यदद र्ह अपररर्जानीय रूप

से अनुपस्स्र्थत हो, तो सहायक तनर्ााचन अधिकारी, सुश्री गररमा जैन, संयुक्त

सधचर्/श्री वर्जय कुमार, तनदेशक, राज्य सभा सधचर्ािय को उक्त कायाािय में

ककसी भी ददन (सार्ाजतनक अर्काश-ददन से लभन्न) मध्याह्न पूर्ा 11 बजे से

मध्याह्न पश्चात् 3 बजे के बीच, बृहस्पततर्ार, 21 अगस्त, 2025 तक पररदत्त

ककए जा सकेंगे;

(ii) प्रत्येक नामतनदेशन पत्र के सार्थ उस संसदीय तनर्ााचन-क्षेत्र की तनर्ााचक

नामार्िी में अभ्यर्थी से संबद्ि प्रवर्स्ष्ट्ि की एक प्रमाणित प्रतत िगाई जाएगी

स्जसमें अभ्यर्थी तनर्ााचक के रूप में रस्जस्रीकृत है;

(iii) प्रत्येक अभ्यर्थी केर्ि पंद्रह हजार रुपये की रालश जमा करेगा या जमा

करर्ाएगा। यह रकम नामतनदेशन पत्र प्रस्तुत करते समय तनर्ााचन अधिकारी के

पास नकद जमा की जा सकेगी या भारतीय ररज़र्ा बैंक या ककसी सरकारी खजाने

में इससे पहिे जमा की जा सकेगी और पश्चातकधर्थत दशा में ऐसी रसीद का,

स्जसमें यह दलशात ककया हो कक उक्त रालश जमा कर दी गई है, नामतनदेशन पत्र

के सार्थ िगाया जाना आर्श्यक होगा;

(iv) नामतनदेशन पत्रों के प्ररूप पूर्ोक्त कायाािय से पूर्ोक्त समय पर प्राप्त ककए

जा सकेंगे;

(v) अधितनयम की िारा 5ख की उपिारा (4) के अिीन नामंजूर ककए गए

नामतनदेशन पत्रों से लभन्न, नामतनदेशन पत्रों की संर्ीक्षा उक्त कायाािय, कमरा

संख्या एफ—100, संगोष्ट्ठी—2, प्रर्थम ति, संसद भर्न, नई ददल्िी में शुक्रर्ार,

22 अगस्त, 2025 में शुक्रर्ार, 22 अगस्त, 2025 को मध्याह्न पूर्ा 11 बजे की

जाएगी;

(vi) अभ्यधर्थाता र्ापस िेने की सूचना अभ्यर्थी, या उसके प्रस्र्थापकों या समर्थाकों में

से ककसी एक द्र्ारा, जो अभ्यर्थी द्र्ारा लिणखत रूप से इस तनलमत्त प्राधिकृत

ककया गया हो, तनम्नहस्ताक्षरकताा को उपरोक्त पैरा (i) में वर्तनददाष्ट्ि स्र्थान में

सोमर्ार, 25 अगस्त, 2025 को अपराह्न तीन बजे से पहिे पररदत्त की जा

सकेगी;

(vii) तनर्ााचन िडे जाने की दशा में, मतदान इन तनयमों के अिीन तनयत ककए

गए मतदान के स्र्थान में मंगिर्ार, 9 लसतंबर, 2025 को मध्याह्न पूर्ा 10 बजे

और मध्याह्न पश्चात् 5 बजे के बीच होगा।

OFFICE OF THE RETURNING OFFICER FOR

VICE-PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION, 2025

PUBLIC NOTICE

OF

ELECTION TO THE OFFICE OF VICE-PRESIDENT OF INDIA

WHEREAS a notification under sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Presidential and Vice-Presidential

Elections Act, 1952, for the holding of an election to fill the Office of Vice-President of India has been issued by the

Election Commission, I, P.C. MODY, the Returning Officer for such election, do hereby give

notice that—

(i) nomination papers may be delivered by a candidate or any one of his proposers or seconders to the

undersigned at his office in Room No. RS-28, First Floor, Parliament House, New Delhi, or if he is unavoidably

absent, to the Assistant Returning Officers, Ms. Garima Jain, Joint Secretary/Shri Vijay Kumar, Director,

Rajya Sabha Secretariat at the said office between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on any day (other than a public holiday) not

later than Thursday, the 21^st August, 2025;

(ii) each nomination paper shall be accompanied by a certified copy of the entry relating to the candidate in

the electoral roll for the Parliamentary constituency in which the candidate is registered as an elector;

(iii) every candidate shall deposit or cause to be deposited a sum of Rupees Fifteen Thousand only. This

amount may be deposited in cash with the Returning Officer at the time of presentation of the nomination paper or

deposited earlier in the Reserve Bank of India or in a Government Treasury and in the latter case a receipt showing

that the said deposit of the sum has been so made is required to be enclosed with the nomination paper;

(iv) forms of nomination papers may be obtained from the above said office at the time aforesaid;

(v) the nomination papers, other than those rejected under sub-section (4) of Section 5B of the Act, will be

taken up for scrutiny at the said office in Room No. F-100, Sangoshthi-2, First Floor, Parliament House, New Delhi,

on Friday, the 22^nd August, 2025 at 11 a.m.;

(vi) the notice of withdrawal of candidatures may be delivered by a candidate, or any one of his proposers

or seconders who has been authorised in this behalf in writing by the candidate, to the undersigned at the place

specified in paragraph (i) above before three o’clock in the afternoon of Monday, the 25^th August, 2025;

(vii) in the event of the election being contested, the poll will be taken on Tuesday, the 9^th September, 2025

between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the place of polling fixed under the rules.
