ADMINISTRATION OF UNION TERRITORY OF LADAKH
NOTIFICATION
Leh, the 26th September, 2025.
No. Secy/L&J/UTL/2025/1041.— Whereas, the Lieutenant Governor of the Union territory of
Ladakh is satisfied that it is necessary to do so;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 3, read
with clause (e) of section 2 of the National Security Act, 1980, the Lieutenant Governor of the
Union territory of Ladakh is pleased to direct that during the period 26/09/2025 to 25/12/2025,
the District Magistrate, Leh and Kargil may also exercise the powers of detaining authority under
sub-section (2) of section 3 of the aforesaid Act within their territorial jurisdiction.
