Notification
Ladakh, the 18th of November, 2025.
S.O.136. — In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub- Section (2) of Section 179 of the
Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, read with S.O. 2506 (E) dated: 28.06.2024 issued by
the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India; the Administration of Union territory of
Ladakh hereby notify that any police officer making an investigation under Chapter XIII of the
Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 may, by order in writing, require attendance of any
person who appears to be acquainted with the facts and circumstances of any case as provided
under Section 179 (1) Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. Further reasonable expenses,
as indicated in the Annexure enclosed, shall be paid to such person by the police officer for
attending at any place other than his residence of which proper account shall be maintained. The
expenditure on this account shall be borne out of the Account/Major Head- 2055-Police.
