S.O_ 144: In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 20 (1) of the Bharatiya Nagarik

Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, the Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh hereby

designates the following officers (Senior Prosecuting Officers) of the Ladakh Prosecution

Department to the posts indicated against each, in addition to their own assigned duties, for the

purpose of discharging duties as per Sanhita:

Moreover, the officers at Sr No. 2 & 3 are also designated as Assistant Director Prosecution for

District Leh and Kargil, respectively, for the purpose of discharging duties, as per Sanhita.

The Director of Prosecution shall head the Directorate of Prosecution UT Ladakh and shall

function under the administrative control of the Home Department, UT Ladakh.

The above-named Deputy Directors of Prosecution and Assistant Directors of Prosecution

shall work under the immediate supervision and control of the Director of Prosecution UT Ladakh.

The powers and functions of the Director of Prosecution, Deputy Directors of Prosecution and

Assistant Directors of prosecution shall be notified separately by the Administration of the Union

Territory of Ladakh, in terms of Section 20 (11) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.
