PROHIBITORY ORDER U/S 144 CR. PC, 1973

F.No. 1/4/2020-Pol-Part-1/1280 :- Refer the order even file number dated 22-05-2020

regarding prohibitory order u/s 144 Cr.PC, 1973 in connection with Novel Corona Virus Disease

(COVID - 19).

WHEREAS, the Ministry of Home Affairs Government of India has implemented

lockdown measure to contain spread of COVID-19; further extended throughout the country up

to 30^th June, 2020.

WHEREAS, the undersigned is satisfied that there is a real and imminent threat of possible

outbreak of COVID-19 in Union Territory of Lakshadweep and there are sufficient grounds for

extending the prohibitory order under section 144 of Cr.PC in the present case for averting

danger to human life, health and safety.

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers vested in me u/s 144 (4) of the Code of

Criminal Procedure, 1973, I Vijendra Singh Rawat, IAS, District Magistrate, Union Territory of

Lakshadweep direct that :-

1. Any assembly/congregation of four or more person shall stand prohibited

from 9 PM to 5 AM in the Union Territory of Lakshadweep.

This order shall come into effect w.e.f 09.00 PM of 01-06-2020 in the entire area of

Union Territory of Lakshadweep and shall remain valid until further orders.

Any person contravening this order shall be liable for punishment under section 188 and

other relevant section of IPC.

NOTIFICATION

F.No. 3/1/2020-C1/904 :- The Hon’ble Administrator, Union Territory of Lakshadweep

is pleased to permit the following Assistant Engineers under Lakshadweep PWD to retire

from Government Service on Superannuation under Rule 74(a) of the CCS (Pension)

Rules 1972. Accordingly, the officers relieved from their duties date noted against each.

(i) Shri. C.N. Ukkas ( Date of Birth 01-05-1960) DOR - 30-04-2020 AN

(ii) Shri. A.K. Alikoya ( Date of Birth 01-06-1960) DOR - 31-05-2020 AN

This has been issued with the approval of Hon’ble Administrator, Union Territory of

Lakshadweep vide Diary No. 955 dated 19-05-2020.
