Brief Description about the purpose of

proposed acquisition of land

Land acquisition for the Construction of Lakshadweep

House, Annexe (Raj Nivas) and the connecting road.

The proposed acquisition of land for the construction

and development of Lakshadweep House, Kavaratti

and the connecting road around the House is of the

nature of public purpose as it involves the

establishment of a proper office set up for the Hon’ble

Administrator, UT of Lakshadweep and for the VVIPs

visiting Lakshadweep on official purpose.

The present building of Lakshadweep House does not

cater to the above official requirement as well as the

required to have a proper accommodation and office

set up for the head of the UT like what is present in

other states and UTs across the country.

inconveniences passing through the middle road

passing through the complex of Lakshadweep House

made during the visit of VVIPs and VIPs. Accordingly,

there is a requirement to divert the middle road so as to

enable the public to reach the beach road passing
