Section 7 of the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products (Prohibition of Advertisement and

Regulation of Trade and Commerce, Production, Supply and Distribution) Act, 2003, the

Union Territory of Lakshadweep hereby imposes complete ban on the production, sale,

supply, or distribution of loose Cigarettes and other loose tobacco products within Union

Territory of Lakshadweep which do not have specified health warnings on it with immediate

effect. Any person violating the law shall be punished under Section-20 of COTPA, 2003.

Hospital at Moola Andrott, Lakshadweep. Andrott is the

largest island with the highest population in

Lakshadweep

islands and the present Community Health Centre does not

have adequate medical facilities leading to distress to

patients and higher dependency on mainland through

medical evacuations which possess risk who are in need of

serious medical attention. Presently the Community Health

Centre, Andrott is functioning with minimal allied facilities and

has been constructed long years back which need to be

provided with latest amenities to the need of patients.

562/5-570 Sqm, 562/8-40 Sqm, 562/9A-470 Sqm,
