NOTIFICATION
F. No. 7/02/2022-FCS/643 :- In exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 74
of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Union Territory of Lakshadweep Administration hereby
establishes a Mediation Cell in the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission Lakshadweep,
Kavaratti.
2. The Mediation Cell shall be attached to the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission
and headed by the President of that Commission.
3. The Mediation Cell shall have a panel of mediators, consisting of such number of mediators,
as may be decided by the President, who shall be selected on the recommendation of a selection
committee consisting of the President and a Member of that Commission.
4. The Mediation Cell shall also have such supporting staff as may be decided by the President of the
District Commission in consultation with the Union Territory of Lakshadweep Administration and Union
Territory of Lakshadweep Administration shall provide all administrative assistance and infrastructure
facilities required by the District Commission.

F. No. 6/03/2018-Edn/Estt(2) :- Shri. T. Tom Mathew, Lecturer in Physical Education & holding
the charge of Principal, Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Agatti (Date of Birth 31.07.1961), is permitted to retire
Voluntarily under Rules 48 (A)(1) of CCS (Pension) Rules, 1972. Accordingly, the offi cer is relieved from his
duties with eff ect from 3rd Day of August, 2022. This notifi cation issues under Rule 70 (a) of CCS (Pension)
Rules, 2021.
This issues with the approval of Hon’ble Administrator, UTL Administration vide Diary No. 541 date
24.07.2022.
