NOTIFICATION

F. No.1/7/2022-LGP:- In accordance with the order dated 30.08.2017 passed seeking

implementation order of CAT, Ernakulam Bench in OA No. 181/066/2014 filed by Smt.

M. P. Muthubi & Others, Binder Gr.II of Lakshadweep Government Press, Kavaratti, the

Under Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (PSP

Division), New Delhi vide order F. No. C-18013/06/2014-PSP-I dated 26^th October, 2022,

informed that the report of expert committee, consituted for implementing the order of Hon’ble

CAT, Ernakulam Bench dated 30.08.2017, examined the matter and found that there is no

material difference in nature of work and responsibility specified and their assigned duties

for both the group of Presses. Therefore, the committee recommended that the disparity in

the designation and pay scale of Binders in Lakshadweep Government Press addressed to

bring their status at par with Government of India Presses.

Accordingly, the Competent Authority, Union Territory of Lakshadweep is pleased

to upgrade the pay scale of Binder Gr. II of Lakshadweep Government Press from

Rs. 950-1500 to Rs.1200-1800 (4^th CPC) and redesignated the post as Binder and the post

is classified as Highly Skilled Grade-II with effect from 31.10.1989 vide order F. No.1/7/2022

dated 03.12.2022 at par with the Binder of Government of India Presses.
