NOTIFICATION

F. No.11/4/2020-DPC/315:- In pursuance of Notification of the Government of India,

extraordinary Gazette Notification No. S.O. 1425 (E) dated 24^th March 2023, the Secretary,

Rural Development, Union Territory of Lakshadweep is pleases to fix the wage rate payable

to the unskilled manual workers of schemes under Mahatma Gandhi NREG Act, 2005 at a

uniform rate of Rs.304/- (Rupees three hundred and four) only per day without any DA

component in respect of entire Union Territory of Lakshadweep.

The rate shall come into force with effect from 01.04.2023.

The schedule of wage of labourers under MGNREGA is so fixed that an adult person

working for more than nine hours (including one hour of interval of break) would normally

earn wage equal to wage rate. Mahatma Gandhi NREGA works are demand based and

labourers are not eligible for paid holidays.

NOTIFICATION

F.No.24/01/2012-Services(1)/1858:- In exercise of the powers conferred under

Societies Registration Act, 1869, the Administrator, Union Territory of Lakshadweep is

pleased to empower Shri. Rakesh Dahiya, DANICS, now holding the charge of Registrar of

Co-operative Societies , Kavaratti to exercise all powers of Registrar of Societies under the

said Act.

This notification shall have effect from the date on which the officer takes over the

charges and till such period as the officer shall hold the charge of Registrar of Co-operative

Societies, Union Territory of Lakshadweep, Kavaratti.
