Whereas it appears to the appropriate Government that a total area of 0.0420
hectares (420 Sqm) land is required in the Kavaratti Village (Dweep) Panchayath of
Kavaratti Taluk, Lakshadweep District for public purposes, namely, construction of play
ground for Government Junior Basic School (East) at Kavaratti. Social Impact
Assessment Study was carried out by SIACS and a report submitted. Appraisal of the SIA
Report was done by an Independent Multidisciplinary Expert Group constituted by the
Appropriate Government of UT of Lakshadweep u/s 7 of the Act/ Preliminary investigation
was conducted by a committee of officers constituted by Collector (LA) as laid down under
rule 4. The summary of the Social Impact Assessment Report/ preliminary investigation is as
follows (Copy of SIA report is attached as Annexure- I).
Therefore, it is notified that for the above said project in the Kavaratti Village of
Kavaratti Taluk, Lakshadweep District a piece of land measuring, 0.0420 hectares (420
Sqm) of standard measurement, whose detail description is as following, is under acquisition:

transaction of land i.e. sale/purchase, etc., or create any encumbrances on such land from the
date of publication of such notification without prior appr
oval of the Collector (LA).
Objections to the acquisition, if any, may be filed by the person interested within 60
(sixty days) from the date of publication of this notification as provided under section 15 of
the Act before Collector (LA).

hectares (490 Sqm) land is required in the Kavaratti Village (Dweep) Panchayath of
Kavaratti Taluk, Lakshadweep District for public purposes, namely, construction of play

Compensation and Transparency in Land acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act,
2013 (30 of 2013), to all whom it may concern.
A plan of the land may be inspected in the office of the Collector (LA) and Office of
the Deputy Collector cum CEO / Block Development Officer, Kavaratti Island on any
working day during the working hours.
The Government is pleased to authorize Collector (LA), Kavaratti and his Revenue/
Survey staff to enter upon and survey land, take levels of any land, dig or bore into the sub-
soil and do all other acts required for the proper execution of their work as provided and
specified in section 12 of the said Act.

hectares (400 Sqm) land is required in the Amini Village (Dweep) Panchayath of Amini
Taluk, Lakshadweep District for public purposes, namely, construction of play ground for
Government Junior Basic School (South) at Amin. Social Impact Assessment Study was
carried out by SIACS and a report submitted. Appraisal of the SIA Report was done by an
Independent Multidisciplinary Expert Group constituted by the Appropriate Government
of UT of Lakshadweep u/s 7 of the Act/ Preliminary investigation was conducted by a
committee of officers constituted by Collector (LA) as laid down under rule 4. The summary
of the Social Impact Assessment Report/ preliminary investigation is as follows (Copy of SIA
report is attached as Annexure- I).
Therefore, it is notified that for the above said project in the Amini Village of Amini
