NOTIFICATION

F.No.15/05/2023-SWTA/119 :- In exercise of powers conferred by Section 21 of

Prohibition of Employment as Manual Scavengers and their Rehabilitation Act 2013,

read along with Section 2(r), the Administrator, Union Territory of Lakshadweep is pleased

to confer powers of Judicial Magistrate of the first class to Executive Magistrate at each

island for trial of offences under this Act and they shall be deemed, for the purposes of The

Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 to be a Judicial Magistrate of first class.
