In exercise of powers conferred under Section 45 of the Mental Health Care Act., 2017 read

along with Notification of GoI, S.O. 1557 (E) vide F.No.U-11020/2/2022-UTL dated 1^st April 2025, the

Administrator, Union Territory of Lakshadweep is pleased to constitute the Union Territory Mental

Health Authority as below :

Medical Superintendent, IGH

Member

One eminent Psychiatrist from the state, not in

Govt. Services to be nominated by the State

Government.

One Mental Health Professional (AYUSH)

as defined in item (iii) of the clause (q) of sub

section (i) of Section 2 having atleast fifteen

years’ experience in the field, to be nominated

by the State Govt.
