OFFICE MEMORANDUM

The holiday on account of Muharram was earlier notified for 06^th July, 2025

(Sunday) vide Notification F. No.35/02/2018 - Genl/1638 dated 17^th October, 2024,

subject to change in date, depending on sighting of the Moon. It has now been brought

to the notice of this Administration that in Kavaratti. Muharram will be observed on 07^th

July, 2025 (Monday) Accordingly the Closed Holiday on account of Muharram for the

Govt. Offices/Institutions under this Administration. Banks and Court in Kavaratti Island

as notified earlier, now will be on 07^th July, 2025 (Monday) instead of 06^th July, 2025

(Sunday).
