NOTIFICATION

No. 154/MP/zO2O-P.Admn. - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-.section (1!

of section 13A of the Representation of'the People Act, 1950 (a3 of 1950), the

Election Commission of India in consultation with the Govemment of Madhya

Pradesh hereby designates Smt. Veera Rana, IAS {MP: 1988) as the Chief Electoral

Officer for the State of Madhya Pradesh with effect from the date she takes over

charge and until further orders in place_of shri V. L. Kantha Rao, IAS.

Smt. Veera Rana shatl cease to hold and hand over forthwith the charge of all

or any-chtge_s of work under the Government of Mad.hya Pradesh, which she may

be holding before such assumption of office.

Smt. Veera Rana while functioning as the Chief Elcctoral Officer, Madhya

Pradesh shall not hold any additional charge whatsoever under the Government of

Yadhya ^{Pradesh except that she should be designated Principal Secretary to the}

Government in charge of Election Department in the State Secretariat.
