Draft Proposals for SPA notified area of Mumbai Port Trust Notice in accordance

with the section 115 (2) read with section 40 (3) (d) of

Maharashtra Regional Town Planning Act, 1966.

No. CE.L/1-1 (SPA)/7441.—Whereas, the Government of Maharashtra in exercise of powers conferred

under sub-section (1B) of the Section 40 of the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act, 1966 (Mah.

XXXVII of 1966) (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”) declared by Notification No. TPB. 4317/492/CR.

289/2017/UD-11, dated 23rd April 2018 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Notification”). Mumbai Port

Trust (being a body incorporated under Major Port Trust Act, 1963, under Ministry of Shipping, Government

of India) (hereinafter referred to as “Mumbai Port Trust”) as Special Planning Authority (hereinafter referred

to as “the SPA”) for area mainly belonging to Mumbai Port Trust admeasuring 966.30 Hectare along the

Eastern Waterfront of Mumbai (hereinafter referred to as “Said notified area”) as specified therein.

And Whereas, the directions in the said notification to the Mumbai Port Trust to prepare and

publish the Proposals and Development Control and Promotion Regulations for the said notified area and

to submit the same to the Government of Maharashtra for sanction after following due procedure prescribed

in the said act.

And Whereas, the Board of Trustees of Port of Mumbai in its 11th meeting, vide its TR No. 218,

dated 26th December 2018, has approved the Draft Proposals prepared under section 115 read with

section 40 (3) (d) of the said act and authorised the Chairman, Mumbai Port Trust and CEO of SPA to

publish the proposals for inviting suggestion and objection from the public.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the power under section 115 (2) read with section 40 (3) (d) of the

said act, this notice is issued and the Draft Proposals are published for the notified area. The Draft Proposals

are available for public inspection at the office of Chief Engineer, Mumbai Port Trust, 3rd Floor, Port House,

Shoorji Vallabhadas Marg, Ballard Estate, Mumbai 400 001, during office hours on any working days.

Copies of the Draft Proposals are also available for inspection to the public in the following offices

during office hours on any working days.—
