A BILL
to provide for the withdrawal of certain sums from and out of the Consolidated
Fund of the State for the services and purposes of a part of the
Financial Year 2019-2020.
WHEREAS it is expedient to provide for the withdrawal of certain sums from
and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State for the services and purposes of a
part of the Financial Year 2019-2020; it is hereby enacted in the Seventieth Year of
the Republic of India as follows :—
1.
This Act may be called the Maharashtra Appropriation (Vote on
Account) Act, 2019.
Short title.

2.
From and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State, there may be
paid and applied sums not exceeding those specified in column (4) of the
Schedule hereto annexed amounting in aggregate, to the sum of one lakh forty
seven thousand six hundred thirty-five crores thirty-two lakhs seventy-three
thousand rupees towards defraying the several charges which will come in
course of payment during the year ending on the thirty-first day of March 2020,
in respect of the services and purposes specified in column (2) of the Schedule.
3.
The sums authorised to be paid and applied from and out of the
Consolidated Fund of the State by this Act shall be appropriated for the services
and purposes expressed in the Schedule in relation to the year ending on the
thirty-first day of March 2020.

STATEMENT OF OBJECTS AND REASONS.
The Bill is introduced in pursuance of article 206 of the Constitution of India,
read with article 204 thereof, to provide for the appropriation out of the
Consolidated Fund of the State of the moneys required to meet the expenditure
charged on the Consolidated Fund of the State and the grants made in advance by
the Legislative Assembly in respect of the estimated expenditure for a part of the
Financial Year 2019-20.
