No. MC/WS/6-A/ELN/2743/2020.– In exercise of the powers conferred on me by Order No. SEC-

1094/164/1994, dated 31st October 1994 of the State Election Commissioner, Maharashtra the draft

order fixing the number of seats to be elected and the extent of the Wards into which the said

Nagarpanchayat is to be divided and the Wards reserved for the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes

and Backward Class of Citizens and Women (including Women belonging to the Scheduled Castes,

the Scheduled Tribes, Backward Class of Citizens) as the case may be, as shown in the Schedule the

Draft Order bearing No. RNA/NP-2020/P. K.R. 6/K 06, dated 12th October 2020 was published as

required by the provision to sub-section (1) of the Section 10 of the Maharashtra Municipal Councils,

Nagarpanchayats and Industrial Townships Act, 1965, for the information of the residents of the Peth

Nagarpanchayat.

After carefully considering the objections received by me in respect of the said Draft Order, I, Suraj

Mandhare, the Collector of Nashik District in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sub-Section (1)

of the Section 10 of the said Act, hereby make the following Order namely :–

ORDER

Whereas, the Divisional Commissioner and Regional Director, Nashik Division, Nashik by his

Order No. NPP/2020/Election/Karya-2/6638 (7)/2020, dated 5th August 2020 issued under sub-section

(2) of the Section 9 of the Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats and Industrial Townships

Act, 1965 (Mah. XI of 1965), has fixed for the Peth Nagapanchayat the number of Councillors to be

elected and the number of seats to be reserved for the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and the

Backward Class of Citizens and Women (including the number of seats reserved for Women belonging

to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and the Backward Class of Citizens) as shown below :

(1) The number of Councillors to be elected

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Order No. SEC-1094/164/1994,

dated 31st October 1994, of the State Election Commissioner, Maharashtra read with sub-section (1)

of the Section 10 of the Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagarpanchayats and Industrial townships Act,

1965 (Mah. XL of 1965). I, Suraj Mandhare, the Collector of Nashik District, hereby fix the number and

extent of the Wards into which the seats shall be reserved for the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes,

the Backward Class of Citizens and Women (including the Women belonging to the Scheduled Castes,

Scheduled Tribes and the Backward Class of Citizens), as the case may be, as shown in the Schedule

to this Order.

This Order shall take effect for the purpose of the next General Elections held immediately following

the date of this Order.
