MAHARASHTRA MANAGEMENT OF IRRIGATION SYSTEM BY FARMERS (MMISF) ACT, 2005.
No. MIT-2020/129/Jal-1 (Works).- In exercise of power conferred by section 1(3) of SOIL and
WATER CONSERVATION DEPARTMENT (Works) In exercise of the powers conferred by
section 1(3) for Maharashtra Management of Irrigation System by Farmers (MMISF) Act, 2005
(Mah. XXIII of 2005).
The Governor of the state Government of Maharashtra, hereby, notifies Areas.Irrigation
Projects, part command Area to which the act is applicable, section of the Act. Date of application
and other details as specified in columns (2), (3), (4), (5) and (6) of the table below bringing in force,
the provisional Act. In said notified area, as provided under sec. 7. of the Act. On water shall be
supplied by the Appropriate Authority to an individual holder of occupier of such land and the
system of supply of water through Water Users Association shall be binding on all the holders and
occupiers of the lands under Maharashtra, Management of Irrigation System by Farmers Act,
2005.
