AADHAAR (TARGETED DELIVERY OF FINANCIAL AND OTHER SUBSIDIES, BENEFITS AND SERVICES) ACT, 2016.

No. KAUVIU/2021/C.R.19/Skill-1.—Whereas, the Government of India has vide it’s Office

Memorandum, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, File No. 13(4)/2020-EG-II

(Vol-V), dated the 26th October, 2021 conveyed the approval of the Unique Identification Authority

of India to the Skills, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Department (SEEID),

Government of Maharashtra, for using Aadhaar authentication, on voluntary basis, for validation

of the identity of the skilling beneficiaries, in terms of rule 5 of the Aadhaar Authentication for

Good Governance (Social Welfare, Innovation, Knowledge) Rules, 2020 (hereinafter referred to

as “ the said Rules ”) read with sub-clause (ii) of clause (b) of sub­section (4) of Section 4 of the

Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016

(18 of 2016) (hereinafter referred to as “ the said Act ”) ;

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the powers conferred by sub-clause (ii) of clause (b) of

sub-section (4) of section 4 of the said Act and rule 5 of the said Rules, the Government of

Maharashtra, being authorised by the Government of India in this behalf, hereby notifies the

Skills, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Department to perform Aadhaar

authentication, on voluntary basis, for the purpose of authentication and e-KYC authentication

services to validate the identity of the skilling beneficiaries involved in Registration on

https://www.mahaswayam.gov.in, wherein DIT, Maharashtra shall be the Authentication User

Agency/e-KYC User Agency (AUA/KUA) and registration of candidates on https: //www.

mahaswayam.gov.in.
