उप-कलम (१) व (२) द्वाारे प्रदान करण्यात आलेल्या अधिि˜कारांं�चाा वाापर करून, मोटार वााहनांं�च्या वाापरामुुळेे झाालेल्या व्यक्तीचाा मृत्युु

किं�ंवाा त्यां�नाा झाालेली शाारीरि�क इजाा किं�ंवाा त्यामुुळेे झाालेल्या ति�सऱ्या पक्षााच्या कोणत्याही मालमत्तेेचे नुुकसान किं�ंवाा दोन्हीही यांं�चाा अंतभााɑव

असणााऱ्या अपघााताच्या संबंधातील नुुकसान भरपाईसाठीीच्या दाव्यावर अभि�नि�र्णणय करण्याच्या प्रयोजनाासाठीी बृहन्मुंं�बई महाानगरपालि�केच्या

हद्दीीत समाावि�ष्ट असलेेल्या क्षेत्राासाठीी एकूण आठ, नाागपूर येथेे एकूण चाार, पुणेे व ठाणे येथेे प्रत्येकी एक अशी एकूण १४ मोटार अपघाात

दावाा न्यायाधिि˜करणे गठीीत करण्यात आली आहेत.

त्याअर्थीी, आता, मोटार वााहन अधिि˜नि�यम, १९८८ (१९८८ चाा ५९) च्या कलम १६५ अन्वयेे प्रदान करण्यात आलेल्या अधिि˜कारांं�चाा

वाापर करून व त्याखााली तयार करण्यात आलेल्या नि�यमान्वयेे महााराष्ट्र शाासन याद्वाारे श्रीी. रविं�ंद्र पद्मााकरराव देशपांं�डेे, नि�वृृत्त न्यायि�क

अधिि˜कारी यां�चीी मोटार अपघाात दावाा न्यायाधिि˜करण, ठाणे येथेे ‘अति�. सह जि�ल्हा न्यायाधीश तथाा अति�. सत्र न्यायाधीश’ या पदावर त्यां�नीी

पदभाार स्विĒिकाारल्यापासून एक वर्षााɑपर्यंत किं�ंवाा शाासनााचे पुुढीील आदेश होईपर्ययत यापैकी जे अगोदर घडेेल तोपर्यंत नि�युुक्ती करीत आहे.

NOTIFICATION

Motor Vehicle Act, 1988.

No. MCT-1123/C.R.182/Transport-5.– Whereas, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-

section (1) and (2) of section 165 of the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988 (59 of 1988), the Government of

Maharashtra has constituted 8 Motor Accident Claims Tribunals for the area comprised within

the limits of the Municipal Corporation of Brihan Mumbai, 4 Motor Accident Claims Tribunals for

Nagpur and 1 Motor Accident Claims Tribunal at Pune and Thane each total number of 14 Motor

Accident Claims Tribunals for the purpose of adjudicating upon claims for compensation in respect of

accidents involving the death of or bodily injury to, persons arising out of the use of motor vehicles,

or damages to any property of a third party or both so arising out of such accidents.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 165 of the Motor Vehicles Act,

1988 (59 of 1988), and rules framed thereunder, the Government of Maharashtra hereby appoints

Shri. Ravindra Padmakarrao Deshpande, (Retired Judicial Officer) as Extra Joint District Judge and

Additional Sessions Judge at Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Thane for the period of one year from

the date on which he assumes charge of his post or until further orders of Government, whichever

is earlier.
