MEMORANDUM

Whereas, as per section 166 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, the State Government,

may by Notification in the Official Gazette direct that any power conferred or any duty imposed on

that Government by any of the provisions of sections 160 to 165 under such conditions if any as may

be specified in the direction, be exercised or discharged by such Officer or class of Officer as may be

so specified,

Therefore, by exercising above powers, the State Government hereby, delegates the powers

under sections 160 to 165 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, to District Election Officers

of all the districts in Maharashtra for their regular respective jurisdiction.
