Prohibition Of Employment As Manual Scaverngers And Their Rehabilitation Rules, 2013.

No.Nyayapra 2023/C.R.32/SaAaK.– As per the provisions under Rules 11(2), 11(18) and 11(19)

of the Prohibition of Employment as Manual Scavengers and Their Rehabilitation Rules, 2013 of

the Central Government, The Government of Maharashtra hereby constitute the following District

Level Survey Committee for the purpose of implementing these rules :—

(1) District Magistrate (Collector)

(2) Assistant Commissioner, Social Welfare

Member-Secretary

(3) District Statistical Officer

Member

(4) Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad

Member

(5) District Administrative Officer, Urban Development

Member

(6) One Representative of Railway Authority

(7) Upto two representatives of Non-government organizations working for

welfare of manual scavengers and Safai Karmacharis to be nominated

by the District Magistrate

(8) Upto two community representatives of whom one should be a

woman to be nominated by the District Magistrate

Member

2.  No Proceedings of District Level Survey Committee shall be invalid merely by reason of any

defect in the Constitution of Committee.
