(यापुढेे ज्यास "उक्त उपक्रम" असे संबोधण्यात आले आहे.) बृहन्मुंं�बईत वि¦द्युुत पुरवठाा व परि�वहन सेवा पुरवि¦ण्यात येताात ;

ज्याअर्थीी, वीज पुरवठाा व परि�वहन सेवा पुरवि¦णााऱ्या उक्त उपक्रमातील कर्ममचारी व कंत्रााटी कामगार संपाावर जाण्याची शक्यताा आहे ;

आणि� ज्याअर्थीी, महारााष्ट्र अत्यावश्यक सेवा परि�रक्षण अधि�नि�यम, २०२३ चे कलम २ खंंड (क) च्या उपखंंड (एक) व (पााच)

च्या तरतुुदीनुसार वि¦द्युुत पुरवठाा व परि�वहन उपक्रम आपत्कालीन नि�यंंत्रण सेवा या अत्यावश्यक सेवा आहेत ;

आणि� ज्याअर्थीी, बृहन्मुंं�बई वि¦द्युुतपुुरवठाा व परि�वहन उपक्रमातील कर्ममचारी व कंत्रााटी कामगारााकडूून होणााराा संप / आंदोलन हा

सदर अत्यावश्यक सेवा वि¦स्कळीीत करू शकतो ;

आणि� ज्याअर्थीी, महारााष्ट्र शासनााची खात्री पटली आहे की, सदर बृहन्मुंं�बई वि¦द्युुत पुरवठाा व परि�वहन उपक्रमाद्वाारे पुरवि¦ण्यात येणााऱ्या

सदर अत्यावश्यक सेवां�तीील संपाास बंदी घाालणे लोकहि�तााच्या दृष्टीने अत्यावश्यक आहे.

म्हणूून, आताा, महारााष्ट्र अत्यावश्यक सेवा परि�रक्षण अधि�नि�यम, २०२३ चे कलम २ चा खंंड (क) चा उपखंंड (एक) व (पााच)

यासह कलम ४ चे पोट-कलम (१) मधील तरतुुदीच्या अधीन रााहून महारााष्ट्र शासन याद्वाारे सदर उक्त अत्यावश्यक सेवा पुरवि¦णााऱ्या

सेवेतील उक्त कर्ममचारी व कंत्रााटी कामगारांं�च्या संपाास दि�नांं�क २५ फेेब्रुुवारी, २०२५ पाासून मनााई करीत आहे.

NOTIFICATION

Maharashtra Essential Service Maintenance Act, 2023.

No. BEST-2524/C.R.145/UD-21.—Whereas, The Brihan-Mumbai Electric Supply and Transport

Undertaking of the Municipal Corporation of Brihan Mumbai (hereinafter referred to as “ the said

Undertaking ”) is engaged in the supply of electric supply and transport services in Brihan Mumbai ;

Whereas, employees and contractual workers of the said undertaking, engaged in the electric

supply and transport services provided by the said Undertaking in the Brihan Mumbai, are likely

to go on strike ;

And Whereas, the supply of electricity and transport services are essential services within the

meaning of sub-clauses (i) and (v) of clause (a) of section 2 of the Maharashtra Essential Services

Maintenance Act, 2023 ;

And whereas, the Government of Maharashtra is satisfied that, it is necessary, in public interest,

to prohibit the strike in the said employees and contractual workers employed in the said essential

services provided by the said Undertaking.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 read with

sub-clauses (i) and (v) of clause (a) of section 2 of the Maharashtra Essential Services Maintenance

Act, 2023, The Government of Maharashtra hereby prohibits the strikes from 25 February, 2025

by the said employees and contractual workers of the said Undertaking in the electric supply and

transport services provided by it.
