Maharashtra Recognition of Trade Unions & Prevention of Unfair Labour Practices Act, 1971.

No. ICM 1025/C.R.131/Labour 6.— In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 6 of the

Maharashtra Recognition of Trade Unions and Prevention of Unfair Labour Practices Act, 1971 (Mah.

I of 1972) and in supersession of previous Notifications amended from time to time the Government

of Maharashtra hereby declares the Jurisdiction mentioned over the local areas shown respectively,

Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 (39of 1972).

No. ICM 1025/C.R.131/Labour 6.— In exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 3 of

the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 (39 of 1972), in its application to the State of Maharashtra, and

in supersession of all previous notifications, orders or instruments issued in this behalf and are in

force in any part of the State, the Government of Maharashtra being the appropriate Government,

hereby appoints the Presiding officers of the Labour Courts, appointed under section 9 of the Bombay

Industrial Relations Act, 1946 (Bom. XI of 1947), specified in column 2 of the Schedule appended hereto

to be the Controlling Authorities for the administration of the said Act for the areas, respectively

specified against each of them in column 3 of the Schedule with effect from 11th October 2025 .

No. ICM 1025/C.R.131/Labour 6.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 74 of the

Employees State Insurance Act, 1948 (34 of 1948) read with sub-rule (1) of Rule 9 of the Bombay

Employees Insurance Court Rules, 1959 and in super session of the previous notifications issued in

this behalf, the Government of Maharashtra hereby notify with effect from 11th October 2025.

1) Constitute of Employees Insurance Courts as specified in column 2 of the Schedule annexed

hereto, for the local areas respectively specified against them in column 4 of the said schedule and

Section 20 of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 (XI of 1948), in its application to the State of Maharashtra

Government of India Ministry of Home Affairs, Notification No. G. S. R. 1483, dated the 6th

December, 1960 read with Government of India, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Notification No.

LWI-I-2(21)/58, dated the 23rd September, 1959 and in supersession of the Government Notifications

NOTIFICATION

Payment of Wages Act, 1936.

No. ICM 1025/C.R.131/Labour 6.— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section

15 of the Payment of Wages Act, 1936 (IV of 1936) in its application to the State of Maharashtra,

and in supersession of previous Notifications the Government of Maharashtra hereby appoints

the officers mentioned in column No. (2) of the Schedule appended hereto be the authorities within

the areas specified against each of them in column (3) of the Schedule, to hear and decide all claims

arising out of deductions from the wages or delay in payment of the wages of person employed or

paid in that area, including all matters incidental to such claim under the said Act with effect from

11th October 2025.
