करून, महााराष्ट्र शासन, याद्वाारे, महााराष्ट्र शासनााच्या गृह वि�भाागाच्या प्रशासकीीय नि�यंंत्रणााखालील, अपर पोोलीस महाासंंचाालक व संंचाालक,

पोोलीस दळणवळण, माहि�तीी तंत्रज्ञाान व परि�वहन वि�भााग, महााराष्ट्र राज्य, पुणे, यांं�च्या काार्या�लयातील पोोलीस उप महाानि�रीीक्षक किं�ंवाा अपर

पोोलीस आयुक्त, मोटाार परि�वहन (तांं�त्रि�क), गट-अ, पोोलीस अधीक्षक किं�ंवाा पोोलीस उप आयुक्त, मोटाार परि�वहन, गट-अ, आणिि” पोोलीस

उप अधीक्षक किं�ंवाा सहाायक पोोलीस आयुक्त, मोटाार परि�वहन, गट-अ, या पदांं�च्या सेेवााप्रवेशाचे वि�नि�यमन करणारे पुढील नि�यम करीीत

आहे :-

१. संक्षििȦप्त नाव व प्राारंभ.—(१) या नि�यमांं�स, पोोलीस उप महाानि�रीीक्षक किं�ंवाा अपर पोोलीस आयुक्त, मोटाार परि�वहन (तांं�त्रि�क),

पोोलीस अधीक्षक किं�ंवाा पोोलीस उप आयुक्त, मोटाार परि�वहन आणिि” पोोलीस उप अधीक्षक किं�ंवाा सहाायक पोोलीस आयुक्त, मोटाार परि�वहन,

गट-अ (सेेवााप्रवेश) नि�यम, २०२५, असेे म्हणाावे.

(२) हेे नि�यम, ते महााराष्ट्र शासनााच्या राजपत्राात प्रसि�द्ध झााल्याच्या दि�नांं�काापासून अंमलाात येतील.

२. व्याख्या.—या नि�यमांं�त, संंदर्भाभाा�नुुसार दुसराा अर्थथ आवश्यक नसेेल तर,—

(क) “नि�युुक्ती प्राधिि˜काारी” याचाा अर्थथ, मुख्यमंंत्री, जे, पोोलीस उप महाानि�रीीक्षक किं�ंवाा अपर पोोलीस आयुक्त, मोटाार परि�वहन

(तांं�त्रि�क), गट-अ व पोोलीस अधीक्षक किं�ंवाा पोोलीस उप आयुक्त, मोटाार परि�वहन, गट-अ, या पदाावर उमेदवााराची नि�युुक्ती

करणारे सक्षम प्राधिि˜काारी असतीील आणिि” गृहमंंत्री, जे, पोोलीस उप अधीक्षक किं�ंवाा सहाायक पोोलीस आयुक्त, मोटाार परि�वहन, गट-अ

या पदाावर उमेदवााराची नि�युुक्ती करणारे सक्षम प्राधिि˜काारी असतीील, असा आहे ;

(ख) “आयोग” याचाा अर्थथ, महााराष्ट्र लोकसेेवाा आयोग, असा आहे ;

(ग) “पदवीी” याचाा अर्थथ, एखाद्या सांं�वि�धिि˜क वि�द्याापीठााची यंत्र अभि�यांं�त्रि�कीी किं�ंवाा स्वयंंचलि�त्र अभि�यांं�त्रि�कीी शाखेतील पदवीी

किं�ंवाा शासनााने ति�च्याशी समतु

ुल्य असल्याचे घोोषिि¨त केलेली, अन्य कोणतीीही अर्हहताा, असा आहे ;

(घ) “पोोलीस महाासंंचाालक” याचाा अर्थथ, महााराष्ट्र पोोलीस अधिि˜नि�यमाच्या कलम ६ अन्वयेे नि�युुक्त करण्यात आलेले पोोलीस

महाासंंचाालक व महाानि�रीीक्षक, महााराष्ट्र राज्य, असा आहे ;

(ङ) “पदोोन्नतीीची पात्रताा” याचाा अर्थथ, शासनााच्या सामान्य प्रशासन वि�भाागाने वेळोवेळी कााढलेले नि�यम, शासन नि�र्णणय

किं�ंवाा आदेश यांं�मध्ये पदोोन्नतीीसाठी वि�नि�र्दि�िष्ट केलेल्या अटी व शर्तीनुसार असलेेली पदोोन्नतीीची पात्रताा, असा आहे ;

(च) “शासन” याचाा अर्थथ, महााराष्ट्र शासन, असा आहे ;

(छ) “गृह वि�भााग” याचाा अर्थथ, महााराष्ट्र शासनााचाा गृह वि�भााग, असा आहे ;

(ज) “अपर पोोलीस महाासंंचाालक व संंचाालक, पोोलीस दळणवळण, माहि�तीी तंत्रज्ञाान व परि�वहन वि�भााग, महााराष्ट्र राज्य,

पुणे, यां�चेे काार्या�लय” याचाा अर्थथ, महााराष्ट्र शासनााच्या गृह वि�भाागाच्या प्रशासकीीय नि�यंंत्रणााखालील पोोलीस महाासंंचाालक यांं�च्या

आस्थाापनेेवरीील, अपर पोोलीस महाासंंचाालक व संंचाालक, पोोलीस दळणवळण, माहि�तीी तंत्रज्ञाान व परि�वहन वि�भााग, महााराष्ट्र राज्य,

पुणे, असा आहे.

३. पोोलीस उप महाानि�रीीक्षक किं�ंवाा अपर पोोलीस आयुक्त, मोटाार परि�वहन (तांं�त्रि�क), गट-अ या पदाावरीील नि�युुक्ती, अपर

पोोलीस महाासंंचाालक व संंचाालक, पोोलीस दळणवळण, माहि�तीी तंत्रज्ञाान व परि�वहन वि�भााग, महााराष्ट्र राज्य, पुणे या काार्या�लयातील, पोोलीस

अधीक्षक किं�ंवाा पोोलीस उप आयुक्त, मोटाार परि�वहन, गट-अ हे पद धारण करणाऱ्या तसेेच उक्त पदाावर दहाा वर्षांंɕपेक्षा कमीी नसेेल इतकीी

नि�यमि�त व अखंंड सेेवाा झाालेल्या व पदोोन्नतीीसाठी पात्र असणााऱ्या, योग्य व्यक्तीच्या पदोोन्नतीीने करण्यात येईल;

परंंतु, जर पोोलीस अधीक्षक किं�ंवाा पोोलीस उप आयुक्त, मोटाार परि�वहन, गट-अ या संंवर्गा�तीील पात्र व्यक्ती उपलब्ध होत नसेेल

तर, पोोलीस उप महाानि�रीीक्षक किं�ंवाा अपर पोोलीस आयुक्त, मोटाार परि�वहन (तांं�त्रि�क), गट-अ या पदाावर भाारतीय पोोलीस सेेवेतील योग्य

व्यक्तीची बदलीीद्वाारे नि�युुक्ती करण्यात येईल.

४. पोोलीस अधीक्षक किं�ंवाा पोोलीस उप आयुक्त, मोटाार परि�वहन, गट-अ या पदाावरीील नि�युुक्ती पोोलीस उप अधीक्षक किं�ंवाा

सहाायक पोोलीस आयुक्त, मोटाार परि�वहन, गट-अ हे पद धारण करणाऱ्या तसेेच उक्त पदाावर पाच वर्षांंɕपेक्षा कमीी नसेेल इतकीी नि�यमि�त

व अखंंड सेेवाा झाालेल्या व पदोोन्नतीीसाठी पात्र असणााऱ्या योग्य व्यक्तीच्या पदोोन्नतीीने करण्यात येईल.

५. पोोलीस उपअधीक्षक किं�ंवाा सहाायक पोोलीस आयुक्त, मोटाार परि�वहन, गट-अ या पदाावरीील नि�युुक्ती एकतर,—

(क) पोोलीस नि�रीीक्षक, मोटाार परि�वहन, गट-अ हे पद धारण करणाऱ्या तसेेच उक्त पदाावर तीन वर्षांंɕपेक्षा कमीी नसेेल इतकीी

नि�यमि�त व अखंंड सेेवाा झाालेल्या व पदोोन्नतीीसाठी पात्र असणााऱ्या योग्य व्यक्तीच्या पदोोन्नतीीने करण्यात येईल; किं�ंवाा

(ख) आयोगामार्फफत घेण्यात आलेल्या स्पर्धा�त्मक परीीक्षेच्या नि�काालाच्या आधारे, आयोगाने शि�फाारस केलेल्या, पुढील

नि�कषांं�चीी पूर्तताा करणाऱ्या उमेदवाारां�मधू

ून, नाामनि�र्देेशनााद्वाारे करण्यात येईल :—

(एक) वयोमर्या�दाा.—

(क) कि�माान वयोोमर्या�दाा.—उक्त पदााच्या भरतीच्या जाहि�राातीनुसार अर्जज स्वीकृतीच्या अंति�म दि�नांं�काास,

अठराा वर्षे वय पूर्णण केलेले असावे.

(ख) कमााल वयोोमर्या�दाा.—उक्त पदााच्या भरतीच्या जाहि�राातीनुसार अर्जज स्वीकृतीच्या अंति�म दि�नांं�काास,

राखीव प्रवर्गा�तीील नसले

ेल्या व्यक्तींसाठी अडतीीस वर्षे वय पूर्णण केलेले व राखीव प्रवर्गा�तीील व्यक्तींसाठी त्रेचााळीस

वर्षे पूर्णण केलेले असावे.

(दोन) कि�मान शैक्षणि�क अर्हताा.—

एखाद्या सांं�वि�धिि˜क वि�द्याापीठााची यंत्र अभि�यांं�त्रि�कीी किं�ंवाा स्वयंंचलि�त्र अभि�यांं�त्रि�कीी शाखेतील पदवीी किं�ंवाा

शासनााने ति�च्याशी समतु

ुल्य असल्याचे घोोषिि¨त केलेली अन्य कोणतीीही अर्हहताा धारण केलेली असावी.

(तीन) अति�रि�क्त अर्हताा.—ती व्यक्ती, आयोगाद्वाारे घेण्यात येणाऱ्या स्पर्धा�त्मक परीीक्षेसाठी अर्जज सादर करण्याच्या

अंति�म दि�नांं�काास, मोटाार वााहन अधिि˜नि�यम, १९८८ (१९८८ चाा ५९) याच्या प्रकरण दोन अन्वयेे लायसन देण्याकरि�ताा

प्राधिि˜कृत केलेल्या सक्षम प्राधिि˜कााऱ्याद्वाारे दि�लेेली जड वााहनेे चाालवि�ण्याचे वैध चाालन लायसन धारण करीील;

परंंतु, जर, अशा व्यक्तीने, आयोगाद्वाारे घेण्यात येणाऱ्या स्पर्धा�त्मक परीीक्षेसाठी अर्जज सादर करण्याच्या अंति�म दि�नांं�काास

जड वााहनेे चाालवि�ण्याचे वैध चाालन लायसन धारण केले नसल्यास, अशी व्यक्ती परि�वीीक्षाधीन काालावधीी पूर्णण होण्यापूर्वी

असेे वैध चाालन लायसन प्राप्त करीील, असेे चाालन लायसन प्राप्त करण्यास अपयशी ठरल्यास त्याची सेेवाा समााप्त केली

जाण्यास पात्र असेेल. अशी व्यक्ती कोणतााही खंंड पडूू न देताा, वेळोवेळी, उक्त चाालन लायसन धारण करीील.

(चाार) शाारीरि�क अर्हताा.—

(क) पुरुषां�करि�ताा शारीरि�क प्रमाण.—

(एक) कि�माान उंची (सेे.मी.मध्ये) १६५ सेे.मी. (अनवााणी)

(दोन) छाती न फुुगवताा ७९ सेे.मी. पेक्षा कमीी नसाावी आणिि” न फुुगवलेेली छाती व फुुगवलेेली छाती

यातील फफरक ५ सेे.मी. पेक्षा कमीी नसाावाा.

(ख) महि�लांं�करि�ताा शारीरि�क प्रमाण.—कि�माान उंची (सेे.मी.मध्ये) १५७ सेे.मी. (अनवााणी)

(ग) दृष्टी.—दुरुस्तीसह किं�ंवाा वि�नाादुरुस्ती उत्तम दृष्टी व वर्णांंɕध नसाावी.

नि�यम ५ मध्ये नमूूद केलेल्या पदााच्या एकूण मंंजूर पदसंं

ंख्येसाठी, पदोोन्नतीीने व नाामनि�र्देेशनााने नि�युुक्ती देण्याचे प्रमाण हे

अनुक्रमे ५०:५० असेे राहील.

७. नि�यम ३ ते ५ मध्ये नमूूद केलेल्या पदाावरीील नि�युुक्त्या, नि�युुक्ती प्राधिि˜कााऱ्याच्या मान्यतेने करण्यात येतील.

८. नि�यम ५ मध्ये नमूूद केलेल्या पदाावर नाामनि�र्देेशनााद्वाारे नि�युुक्त केलेल्या व्यक्तीला, या पदााकरि�ताा वि�हि�त केलेली वि�भाागीय

परीीक्षा, वि�हि�त केलेल्या काालमर्या�देेत उत्तीर्णण करणे आवश्यक असेेल. जर, अशी व्यक्ती उक्त पदााकरि�ताा वि�हि�त केलेली उक्त वि�भाागीय

परीीक्षा, वि�हि�त केलेल्या काालमर्या�देेत उत्तीर्णण झााली नााही तर, ती व्यक्ती, उक्त परीीक्षा उत्तीर्णण होईपर्यंंत किं�ंवाा उक्त परीीक्षा उत्तीर्णण होण्यापासून

सूट मि�ळेेपर्यंंत, उक्त पदाावर काायम राहू शकणाार नााही किं�ंवाा उच्च पदाावरीील पदोोन्नतीीकरि�ताा पात्र ठरणार नााही.

९.

नि�यम ५ मध्ये नमूूद केलेल्या पदाावर नाामनि�र्देेशनााने नि�युुक्ती झाालेल्या आणिि” एकत्रि�त परि�वीीक्षाधीन प्रशि�क्षण काार्ययक्रम

(सीपीटीपी) या अंतर्गगत प्रशि�क्षण घेणाऱ्या उमेदवाारास, त्याच्या सेेवााज्येष्ठतेेच्या संंबंधातील बाबी, वि�भाागीय परीीक्षा व इतर सेेवाा संंबंधिि˜त

बाबी यां�चेे, सामान्य प्रशासन वि�भाागाद्वाारे, वेळोवेळी कााढलेल्या नि�यम व वि�नि�यम यानुसार वि�नि�यमन करण्यात येईल. तथाापि�, जर अशी

व्यक्ती वि�हि�त केलेल्या काालमर्या�देेत उक्त प्रशि�क्षण काार्ययक्रम (सीपीटीपी) समााधानकाारकरीीत्या पूर्णण करण्यात अपयशी झााली तर, ति�चीी

सेेवाा समााप्त केली जाण्यास पात्र असेेल.

१०. (क) नि�यम ३, ४ व ५ मध्ये नमूूद केलेल्या पदांं�वर पदोोन्नतीीने नि�युुक्त कराावयााची व्यक्ती, उक्त पदाावर पदोोन्नतीी देण्यापूर्वी

अगोदरच मरााठी व हिं�ंदी भााषा परीीक्षा उत्तीर्णण नसेेल किं�ंवाा त्या परीीक्षा उत्तीर्णण होण्यापासून ति�लाा सूट देण्यात आलेली नसेेल तर, ती, त्याबाबतीत

शासनााने वेळोवेळी केलेल्या नि�यमानुसार, मरााठी व हिं�ंदी भााषा परीीक्षा उत्तीर्णण करेेल.

(ख) नि�यम ५ मध्ये नमूूद केलेल्या पदाावर नाामनि�र्देेशनााद्वाारे नि�युुक्त केलेली व्यक्ती, अगोदरच मरााठी भााषा व हिं�ंदी भााषा परीीक्षा

उत्तीर्णण नसेेल किं�ंवाा त्या परीीक्षा उत्तीर्णण होण्यापासून ति�लाा सूट देण्यात आलेली नसेेल तर, ती, त्याबाबतीत, शासनााने वेळोवेळी केलेल्या

नि�यमांं�नुसार, नि�युुक्तीनंंतर वि�हि�त काालमर्या�देेत मरााठी व हिं�ंदी भााषा परीीक्षा उत्तीर्णण करीील. या परीीक्षा उत्तीर्णण होईपर्यंंत, ती व्यक्ती, वाार्षिि¨िक

वेतनवााढीसाठी किं�ंवाा पुढील पदोोन्नतीीच्या पदांं�वरीील पदोोन्नतीीसाठी पात्र असणाार नााही.

११. (क) नि�यम ३, ४ व ५ मध्ये नमूूद केलेल्या पदाावर पदोोन्नतीीने नि�युुक्त कराावयााची व्यक्ती, पुढील पदोोन्नतीीच्या पदाावर

पदोोन्नतीी देण्यापूर्वी, ति�लाा संंगणक हातााळणी प्रमाणपत्र धारण करण्यापासून सूट देण्यात आली नसेेल तर, ती, त्याबाबतीत, शासनााने

वेळोवेळी केलेल्या नि�यमानुसार, वि�हि�त केलेले संंगणक हातााळणी प्रमाणपत्र धारण करीील.

(ख) नि�यम ५ मध्ये नमूूद केलेल्या पदाावर नाामनि�र्देेशनााद्वाारे नि�युुक्त केलेल्या व्यक्तीने, ति�लाा संंगणक हातााळणी प्रमाणपत्र धारण

करण्यापासून सूट देण्यात आली नसेेल तर, ती, याबाबतीत, शासनााने वेळोवेळी वि�हि�त केलेले असेे संंगणक हातााळणी प्रमाणपत्र,

नि�युुक्तीनंंतर वि�हि�त काालमर्या�देेत धारण करीील, अन्यथाा अशी व्यक्ती, असेे प्रमाणपत्र धारण करीीपर्यंंत, वाार्षिि¨िक वेतनवााढीसाठी किं�ंवाा

पुढील पदोोन्नतीीच्या पदाावरीील पदोोन्नतीीसाठी पात्र असणाार नााही.

१२. (१) नि�यम ५ मध्ये नमूूद केलेल्या पदाावर नाामनि�र्देेशनााद्वाारे नि�युुक्त केलेली व्यक्ती, महााराष्ट्र नाागरी सेेवाा (लहान कुटुं�बाचे

प्रति�ज्ञाापन) नि�यम, २००५ याच्या तरतुदींनुसार किं�ंवाा याबाबत, शासनााने, वेळोवेळी केलेले अन्य कोणतेेही नि�यम, कााढलेले आदेश किं�ंवाा

कोणतेेही संंलेख यां�नुुसार लहान कुटुं�बाचे प्रति�ज्ञाापन सादर करीील, अन्यथाा अशी व्यक्ती उक्त पदाावर नि�युुक्तीसाठी पात्र असणाार नााही.

(२) लहान कुटुं�बाचे प्रति�ज्ञाापन सादर करण्याच्या दि�नांं�काास, दोनपेेक्षा अधिि˜क अपत्ये असणाारी व्यक्ती, शासकीीय सेेवेतील

नि�युुक्तीसाठी अनर्हह ठरेेल.

(३) एखाद्या व्यक्तीची शासकीीय सेेवेत नि�युुक्ती झााल्यानंंतर, जर ति�लाा, नि�युुक्तीच्या वेळी किं�ंवाा त्यानंंतर दोनपेेक्षा अधिि˜क अपत्ये

असल्याचे सि�द्ध झााले तर, ती व्यक्ती, शासकीीय सेेवेतील उक्त पदाावर काायम राहण्यास अनर्हह ठरेेल.

१३. नि�यम ३ ते ५ मध्ये नमूूद केलेल्या पदांं�साठी नि�युुक्त केलेल्या व्यक्तींची जेष्ठताा यादी राज्यस्तराावर ठेवलीी जाईल. म्हणूून

उक्त पदाावर नि�युुक्त केलेली व्यक्ती महााराष्ट्र राज्यात कोठेही बदलीीसाठी पात्र असेेल.

१४. शासनााने, वेळोवेळी नि�र्गगमि�त केलेले कोणतेेही नि�यम किं�ंवाा घेतलेेले नि�र्णणय यांं�मध्ये, कोणत्याही शासकीीय कर्ममचााऱ्याच्या

नि�युुक्तीआधी किं�ंवाा नंंतर, शासनााने वि�नि�र्दि�िष्ट केलेल्या अटी व शर्ती संंबंधिि˜त शासकीीय कर्ममचााऱ्यास लागू असतीील.

Maharashtra Police Act.

No. H.D.11022/9/2023-Pol 1A.—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of section 5 of

the Maharashtra Police Act (XXII of 1951) and in supersession of all existing rules, orders and

instruments made in this behalf, the Government of Maharashtra is hereby pleased to make the

following rules regulating recruitment to the posts of Deputy Inspector General of Police or Additional

Commissioner of Police, Motor Transport (Technical), Group A, Superintendent of Police or Deputy

Commissioner of Police, Motor Transport, Group A and Deputy Superintendent of Police or Assistant

Commissioner of Police, Motor Transport, Group A, in the Office of the Additional Director General

of Police and Director, Police Communication, Information Technology and Transport Department,

Maharashtra State, Pune under the administrative control of the Home Department of Government

of Maharashtra, namely:—

1. Short title and commencement.-—(1) These rules may be called the Deputy Inspector General

of Police or Additional Commissioner of Police, Motor Transport (Technical), Superintendent of Police

or Deputy Commissioner of Police, Motor Transport and Deputy Superintendent of Police or Assistant

Commissioner of Police, Motor Transport, Group A, (Recruitment) Rules 2025.

(2) These rules shall come into force on the date of publication of these rules in the Maharashtra

Government Gazette.

2. Definitions.—In these rules, unless the context requires otherwise,-

(a) “Appointing Authority” means the Chief Minister who shall be the competent authority

to appoint a candidate to the post of Deputy Inspector General of Police or Additional

Commissioner of Police, Motor Transport (Technical), Group A, and Superintendent of Police

or Deputy Commissioner of Police, Motor Transport, Group A and the Home Minister who shall

be the competent authority to appoint a candidate to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police

or Assistant Commissioner of Police, Motor Transport, Group A;

(b) “Commission” means the Maharashtra Public Service Commission;

statutory university or any other qualification declared by the Government to be equivalent

thereto;

(d) “Director General of Police” means the Director General and Inspector General of Police,

Maharashtra State appointed under section 6 of the Maharashtra Police Act.

(e) “eligibility for promotion” means the eligibility for promotion in accordance with the

terms and conditions specified for promotion in the rules, resolutions or orders issued by the

General Administration Department, from time to time;

(f) “Government” means the Government of Maharashtra;

(g) “Home Department” means Home Department of the Government of Maharashtra;

(h) “Office of Additional Director General of Police and Director, Police Communication,

Information Technology and Transport Department, Maharashtra State, Pune” means the Office

of the Additional Director General of Police and Director, Police Communication, Information

Technology and Transport Department, Maharashtra State, Pune, on the establishment of the

Director General of Police, under the administrative control of the Home Department of

Government of Maharashtra ;

3. Appointment to the post of Deputy Inspector General of Police or Additional Commissioner

of Police, Motor Transport, (Technical), Group A, shall be made by promotion of a suitable person

having eligibility for promotion holding the post of Superintendent of Police or Deputy Commissioner

of Police, Motor Transport, Group A, in the Office of the Additional Director General of Police and

Director, Police Communication, Information Technology and Transport Department, Maharashtra

State, Pune, having a regular and continuous service of not less than ten years in the said post:

Provided that, if no suitable person is available in the cadre of Superintendent of Police or Deputy

Commissioner of Police, Motor Transport, Group A, a suitable person in the Indian Police Service

shall be appointed by transfer to the post of Deputy Inspector General of Police or Additional

Commissioner of Police, Motor Transport (Technical), Group A.

4. Appointment to the post of Superintendent of Police or Deputy Commissioner of Police,

Motor Transport, Group A, shall be made by promotion of a suitable person having eligibility for

promotion, holding the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police or Assistant Commissioner of Police,

Motor Transport, Group A, having a regular and continuous service of not less than five years in the

said post.

5. Appointment to the post of the Deputy Superintendent of Police or Assistant Commissioner

of Police, Motor Transport, Group A, shall be made either by,-

(a) promotion of suitable person having eligibility for promotion, holding the post of Police

Inspector, Motor Transport, Group A, having a regular and continuous service of not less than

three years in the said post ; or

(b) nomination from amongst the candidates recommended by the Commission on the

basis of the result of the competitive examination conducted by the Commission, who fulfil the

following criteria, namely :—

(i) Age limit.—

(A) Lower Age limit.—Eighteen years of age should be completed as on the last

date of receipt of application as per advertisement for recruitment to the said post.

(B) Upper Age limit.—Thirty-eight years of age completed for the persons not

belonging to a reserved category and forty-three years of age completed for the persons

belonging to reserved category as on the last date of receipt of application as per

advertisement for recruitment to the said post.

(ii) Minimum Educational Qualification.—Possesses a degree in the Mechanical

Engineering or Automobile Engineering of a statutory university or any other qualification

declared by the Government to be equivalent thereto.

(iii) Additional Qualification.—The person shall possess, on last date of submission of

application for the competitive examination held by the Commission, a valid driving license

to drive heavy vehicles, issued by the competent authority authorized to issue license under

Chapter II of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (59 of 1988).

Provided that, if a person does not possess a valid driving license to drive heavy

vehicles on last date of submission of application for the competitive examination held by

the Commission, such person shall, before the completion of the probation period, obtain

such a valid driving license, failing which he shall be liable to termination of service. Such

person shall, without any break, have the said driving license from time to time.

(iv) Physical Eligibility.—

(A) Physical standards for male.—

(I) Minimum height (in centimetres) 165 centimetres (barefooted);

(II) Chest girth shall not be less than 79 centimetres deflated and the

difference between deflated chest and expanded chest shall not be less than 5

centimetres.

(B) Physical standards for female.—Minimum height (in centimetres) 157

centimetres (barefooted).

6. Appointment to the post mentioned in rule 5 by promotion and nomination shall be made

in the ratio of 50:50, respectively, for the total number of sanctioned posts to be filled under rule 5.

7. The appointments to the posts mentioned in rules 3 to 5 shall be made with the approval of

the Appointing Authority.

8. A person appointed to the post mentioned in rule 5 by nomination, shall be required to pass

the prescribed Departmental Examination for the post within the prescribed limit. If such person

fails to pass the said prescribed Departmental Examination for the post within the prescribed limit

then he shall not be confirmed on the said post or be eligible for promotion to the higher post until

he passes the said examination or has been exempted from passing the said examination.

9. A person appointed to the post mentioned in rule 5 by nomination and undergoing training

under the Combined Probationary Training Programme (CPTP), service matters pertaining to

seniority, Departmental examination and other service matters shall be regulated by rules and

regulations by the General Administration Department, from time to time. However, if a person fails

to complete the said training programme (CPTP) satisfactorily, within the prescribed period, his

services shall be liable to be terminated.

10. (a) A person appointed to the posts mentioned in rules 3, 4 and 5 by promotion shall pass

the Marathi and Hindi Languages examinations as per the rules made in that behalf by the

Government, from time to time, unless he has already passed or has been exempted from passing

those examinations before getting promoted to the next promotional post.

(b) A person appointed to the posts mentioned in rule 5 by nomination shall pass the Marathi

and Hindi Languages examinations as per the rules made in that behalf by the Government, from

time to time, within prescribed time limit after appointment unless he has already passed or has

been exempted from passing those examinations. He shall not be eligible for annual increment or

for promotion to the next promotional post, until he passes those examinations.

11. (a) A person appointed to the posts mentioned in rules 3, 4 and 5 by promotion shall possess

a certificate of Computer Operations prescribed by the Government, from time to time, unless he

has been exempted therefrom before getting promoted to the next promotional post.

(b) A person appointed to the posts mentioned in rule 5 by nomination shall possess a certificate

of Computer Operations prescribed by the Government, from time to time, within the prescribed

time limit after appointment, unless he has been exempted from possessing such certificate of

Computer Operations, otherwise he shall not be eligible for annual increment or for the promotion

to the next promotional post, until he possesses such certificate.

12. (1) A person appointed to the post mentioned in rule 5 by nomination shall submit a

declaration of Small Family as per the provisions of the Maharashtra Civil Services (Declaration of

Small Family) Rules, 2005 or any other rules, orders or any instruments issued in this behalf, by the

Government, from time to time, otherwise he shall not be eligible for appointment to the post.

(2) A person having more than two children on the date of submission of Declaration of Small

Family, shall be disqualified for the appointment in Government Service.

(3) After appointment of a person in the Government service, if it is proved that he has more

than two children, then he shall be disqualified for the appointed post in Government service.

13. The seniority list of the persons appointed to the posts mentioned in rules 3 to 5 shall be

maintained at State level. Therefore, such persons shall be liable to be transferred anywhere in the

State of Maharashtra.
