In pursuance of clause (3) of article 348 of the Constitution of India, the following translation

in English of the Government Notification, Industries, Energy Labour and Mining Department,

No. Misc 0126/C.R.1/Labour-6, Dated the 18.2.2026, Extra ordinary is hereby published under the

authority of the Governor.

INDUSTRIES, ENERGY LABOUR AND MINING DEPARTMENT

NOTIFICATION

Working Journalists and other Newspaper Employees (Conditions of Service) and Miscellaneous

Provisions Act, 1955.

No. Misc. 0126/C.R.1/Labour-6.— In case of the dispute between, M/S D.B.Corp./Dainik Bhaskar

and the complainant Smt.Prerana Ramesh Mayekar the Government has deliberated on the demand of

Smt. Prerana Ramesh Mayekar for getting salary, allowances of Rs.37,95,014.92/- (Thirty-Seven Lakh,

Ninety-Five Thousand, Fourteen Rupees and Ninty-Two Paise) and interest thereon as recommended

by Majethia Pay Board. After the hearing held from time to time, the Labour Commissioner in his

letter no. Kaa/Gr.V./Shramik Patrakar/2025/Karya-11/1027, dt.05.08.2025 reported that the said

dispute has not been resolved.

And WHEREAS, the Government of Maharashtra, after considering the above report, is satisfied

that the said matter is fit to be referred to the Labour Court for adjudication.

Therefore, in exercise of the power vested under Section 17(2) of the Working Journalists and

other Newspaper Employees (Conditions of Service) and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1955 the

Government of Maharashtra refers the said dispute to the Labour Court, Bombay for adjudication.
