NOTIFICATION

No. FTC-1419/C.R.4/IX.— Whereas, the Government of India has issued guidelines under the

National Mission for Safety of Women for setting up Fast Track Special Courts (FTSCs) to ensure

speedy disposal of pending rape cases and cases under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences

Act, 2012;

And whereas, accordingly, the Government of Maharashtra, in consultation with the Hon’ble

High Court of Judicature at Bombay, approved the establishment of Fast Track Special Courts,

including Exclusive POCSO Courts, in the State vide Government Resolution dated 4th March, 2020;

And whereas, as per the Notification referred to at Sr. No. 4, 38 District Judges were designated

for 28 stations;

And whereas, vide the Notification referred to at Sr. No. 5, the designations of 23 District Judges

were revised, the courts at Akola, Achalpur, Beed and Baramati were abolished, and new courts were

designated at Ahmednagar, Nagpur and Mumbai;
