Mumbai 400 032, dated the 5th Augast, 2026.

ORDER

Maharashtra Protection of Interest of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Act, 1999.

No. MPID-0725/C.R.No.152/Pol-15.— Whereas, (1) Saffron International Holidays Private

Limited, Shivajinager, Taluka, District Ratnagiri and (2) Saffron agro Venture Limited Company,

Salvi Stop, Taluka, District Ratnagiri (hereinafter referred to as “the said Financial Establishment”)

and their Chairman, Directors, Manager, Promoters, Partners, Members and their employees has

received deposits from depositors under the scheme to repay the deposits on maturity along with

benefits promised thereof to the depositors;

And whereas, offence has been registered against the said Financial Establishments and their

Chairman, Promoters, Directors, Managers, Partners, Members and their employees at Ratnagiri City

Police Station, Ratnagiri vide Crime Register No. 100/2014 under sections 406, 420, 463, 464, 465, 467,

468, 471 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (45 of 1860) and under sections 3 and 4 the Maharashtra

Protection of Interest of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Act, 1999 of (Mah. XVI of 2000),

that they have collected the deposits and have failed to repay the deposits after maturity;

And whereas, the Government of Maharashtra is satisfied that the said Financial Establishments

and their Chairman, Promoters, Directors, Manager, Partners, Members and their employees have

failed to repay the deposits on demand by the depositors and the said Financial Establishments are

not likely to repay the deposits to the depositors;

And whereas, the Government of Maharashtra considers it expedient to attach the monies or

other properties believed to have been acquired by the said Financial Establishments and their

Chairman, Promoters, Directors, Manager, Partners, Members and their employees or any other

person either in their own name or in the name of any other person from out of the deposits collected

by the said Financial Establishments, in order to protect the interest of the depositors of the said

Financial Establishments and to appoint Sub-Divisional Officer cum Sub-Divisional Magistrate,

Ratnagiri, District Ratnagiri as the Competent Authority to exercise control over the monies and

other properties attached.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 and sub-section

(1) of section 5 of the Maharashtra Protection of Interest of Depositors (in Financial Establishments)

Act, 1999 (Mah. XVI of 2000), the Government of Maharashtra hereby, -

(a)  attaches the monies and other properties in the name of the said (1) Saffron International

Holidays Private Limited and (2) Saffron agro Venture Limited, Company, Ratnagiri and their

Chairman, Promoters, Directors, Manager, Partners, Members and their employees or any other

person, as specified in the Schedule appended hereto; and

(b)  appoints the Sub-Divisional Officer cum Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Ratnagiri, District

Ratnagiri to be the Competent Authority, to exercise control over the monies and other properties

attached.
