NOTIFICATION

The 6th March, 2018

S.R.O No.89/18- Whereas it has been brought to the notice of the Commission by

the Secretary of the Orissa Police Co-operative Syndicate Ltd., Cuttack vide his Memo No

130 (3) Dt. 15.02.2018 & Letter No 155 Dt. 22.02.2018 and vide Letter No 134 Dt.

26.02.2018 of ARCS, Cuttack City Circle, Cuttack that Sri Annada Shankar Mohanty,

President of the Orissa Police Co-operative Syndicate Ltd., Cuttack has retired on

31.01.2018 for which vacancy arises in the post of President of the Orissa Police Co-

operative Syndicate Ltd., Cuttack. It has been requested to fill up the post of President

arising due to retirement. Since the term of the retired member remains less than half of

his original term, the vacancy has already been filled up by nomination out of the same

class of members in respect of which the casual vacancy has arisen and Shri Debendra

Dash was nominated as member by the Committee on Dt.10.02.2018 as per proviso to

Section 28(6) of the OCS Act, 1962, and

Now, therefore, it is ordered that only the vacancy in the office of President of the

Orissa Police Co-operative Syndicate Ltd., Cuttack shall be filled up in the same manner

as it was originally filled up as required U/S 28 (6) of OCS Act, 1962.

Sri Amiya Kumar Khuntia, Inspector of C.S., O/o the ARCS, Cuttack City Circle, Cuttack is

hereby appointed as the Election Officer to conduct the election of office of President of

the Orissa Police Co-operative Syndicate Ltd., Cuttack by publication of the schedule of

election from the stage of filing of nomination so as to conduct the poll, if necessary, on

Dt.08.04.2018 by following due procedure as prescribed in the OCS Act, 1962 & OCS

(Elections to the Committees) Rules, 1992 and Circulars/Guidelines issued by this

Commission from time to time.
