NOTIFICATION
The 6th March, 2018
No. 1211–RDM-RLF-DROT-0031/2017/R&DM(DM).— Having taken into account
the conditions as arising from rainfall deficiency, decline in the availability of the ground
and surface water, poor crop conditions, ascertained the distress situation that is likely to
develop in the area affected by these conditions through crop field verification and on the
basis of reports available from the Collector, Dhenkanal, the State Government in
continuation of earlier Notification No.6416/R&DM(DM), dated the 25th October, 2017 do
hereby declare drought of moderate/ severe nature in an additional area of 1924.71
hectares in 90 Villages under 37 Grama Panchayats of 3 Blocks and 1 ward of Dhenkanal
Municipality of Dhenkanal District (Detailed village list annexed)
The declaration of drought would come into effect immediately and would continue
to be in effect for six months from this date unless revoked earlier by an order of the State
Government.
The State Government hereby authorizes the Collector, Dhenkanal to undertake
relief measures in the notified area.
