NOTIFICATION

The 8th March, 2018

S.R.O. No. 94/2018— Whereas, a proposal containing the intention of the Governor

of Odisha to specify the whole of the Gunpur Notified Area Council in the District of

Rayagada as a “Smaller Urban Area” was published as required by sub-section(2) of

Section 4 of the Odisha Municipal Act, 1950 ( Odisha Act 23 of 1950 ) in the extra ordinary

issue No. 2143 of the Odisha Gazette dated the 14th December, 2017 under the

Notification of the Government of Odisha in the Housing & Urban Development

Department No. 29569-Ele.-64 of 2017 HUD., dated the 14th December, 2017 and also

objections and suggestions were invited in the said notification;

And, whereas, within the stipulated period of time no objections/suggestions was

received;

Now, therefore, in exercise of power conferred by clause(2) of Article 243 Q of the

Constitution of India read with sub-section (2) of Section 4 of the said Act, the Governor of

Odisha having regard to the population of the area ,the density of population therein, the

revenue generated for local administration, the percentage of employment in non-

agricultural activities and the economic importance of the area, hereby specifies the local

area comprising the whole of the Gunpur Notified Area Council in the District of

Rayagada with the boundaries described in the Schedule below, as a “Smaller Urban

Area”.

SCHEDULE

North- Kalama Village, pujariguda Village, Rupapadar Village area.

South- Gobaraguda Village, Narasimunda Village, Kharling Village.

West- Panasaguda Village , Kaithpadar Village, Sirijholi Village, Rengalapadar Village,

Pagadabili Village, Turkaniguda Village, Khambaguda Village.

East- Rangamati R.F., Garibang Village, Padakunda R.F.
