NOTIFICATION

The 12th March, 2018

No. 5080–SME-EL2-EL2-0104/2017/SME.— The Sikhsya Sahayaks are being

engaged in the State under Sarba Sikshya Abhiyan on contractual basis for a period of six

years for imparting teaching in Elementary Schools. On successful completion of three

years of service, they are being declared as Junior Teachers with enhancement of their

remuneration. Again, on successful completion of three years of service as Junior

Teacher, they are being regularized as Elementary Teacher (Level-V).

Now, Government have been pleased to re-designate the Sikshya Sahayaks as

Junior Teachers (Contractual) for all purposes for the first three years of their

engagement without any change in the existing terms and conditions. The designation for

the subsequent three years will remain as Junior Teacher. The duties as assigned to the

Sikshya Sahayaks shall be the same in respect of the Junior Teachers (Contractual). The

change in designation will not entail any financial benefit.

This has been concurred in by Finance Department in OSWAS file No. SME-EL2-

EL2-0104-2017 on 8th March,2018.
