NOTIFICATION

The 19th April, 2018

S.R.O.No.157/2018–Whereas it has been brought to the notice of the Commission

by the Secretary of the Directorate of Mines and Directorate of Geology, Odisha,

Employees Co-operative Society Ltd., Bhubaneswar., vide his Letter No 08 Dtd.16-2-2018

& Letter No 16 Dtd.26-3-2018 and vide Letter No.1065,Dtd.10-4-2018 of ARCS,

Bhubaneswar Circle, that Shri Binayak Panda, President of the said Society has retired on

28-2-2018 for which vacancy arises in the post of President of the Society. It has been

requested to fill up the post of President arising due to retirement. Since the term of the

retired member remains less than half of his original term, the vacancy has already been

filled up by nomination out of the same class of members in respect of which the casual

vacancy has arisen and Shri Prasanta Kumar Routray was nominated as member by the

Committee on Dtd.20-3-2018 as per proviso to Section 28(6) of the OCS Act, 1962, and

Now, therefore, it is ordered that only the vacancy in the office of President of the

Directorate of Mines and Directorate of Geology, Odisha, Employees Co-operative Society

Ltd., Bhubaneswar shall be filled up in the same manner as it was originally filled up as

required U/S 28 (6) of OCS Act, 1962.

Shri Bidyadhar Behera, SARCS., O/o the ARCS, Bhubaneswar Circle,

Bhubaneswar is hereby appointed as the Election Officer to conduct the election of office

of President of the Directorate of Mines and Directorate of Geology, Odisha, Employees

Co-operative Society Ltd., Bhubaneswar by publication of the schedule of election from the

stage of filing of nomination so as to conduct the poll, if necessary, on Dtd.13-5-2018 by

following due procedure as prescribed in the OCS Act, 1962 & OCS (Elections to the

Committees) Rules, 1992 and Circulars/Guidelines issued by this Commission from time to

time.
