NOTIFICATION

The 28th April, 2018

No. 1068/C.— In exercise of powers U/s-5(2) of the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885,

read with Indian Telegraph (Amendment) Rules, 2007 and in consonance with the

delegation made by the State Government, Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department

hereby designates the Additional D.G. of Police, CID-CB, Odisha, Cuttack to act as Nodal

Authority with respect to crime matters handled by Odisha Police and other Law

Enforcement Agencies for legal interception of any message or class of messages

transmitted through telephones from Telephone Service Providers in the State of Odisha.

The I.G. of Police, CID-CB, Odisha, Cuttack is designated as Nodal Authority for

Legal Interception in absence of Additional D.G. of Police, CID-CB, Odisha, Cuttack from

Headquarters.

This supersedes the previous Notification No 2219/C., dated the 16th November,

2017.
