REVENUE & DISASTER MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT

RESOLUTION

The 28th April, 2018

Sub: Constitution of Committee to recommend maximum extent of Government

Land to be allotted to educational institutions on free of premium basis.

The present policy of allotment of Government Land to educational institutions have

been laid down in erstwhile Revenue Department G.O No. 20615/R., dated the 19th

March, 1976, G.O. No. 38870/R., dated the 23rd May,1977 and G.O. No. 62250/R., dated

the 26th November, 1998. While the G.O. dated the 19th March,1976 and dated the 23rd

May, 1977 specify the extent of Government Land to be allotted on free of premium basis

to educational institutions, the G.O. dated the 26th November,1998 stipulates the number

of High Schools and Colleges which would be eligible to get such land on free of premium

basis.

2. In the meantime, Government Land has become scarce and demand for such

land for various developmental and infrastructure purposes is increasing. Hence, it is felt

necessary that the aforesaid policy of allotment of Government Land to educational

institutions should have a revisit.

pleased to constitute a Committee with the following composition which will revisit the
