NOTIFICATION

The 9th May, 2018

No.16764–RDM-LRB-STATUT-0002-2017/R&DM. — The following draft of certain

rules which the State Government proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred

by Section 75 of the Odisha Land Reforms Act, 1960 (Odisha Act 16 of 1960) is hereby

published as required under the provisions of the said Act for information of all persons

likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft shall be taken

into consideration by the State Government on or after expiry of a period of thirty days

from the date of publication of this notification in the Odisha Gazette.

Any objections or suggestions which may be received from any person with respect

to the said draft rules before the expiry of the period so specified above shall be

considered by the State Government.

DRAFT RULES

1. Short Title and Commencement.— (1) These rules may be called the Odisha

Land Reforms (General) Amendment Rules, 2018.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the

Odisha Gazette.

(3) In the Odisha Land Reforms (General) Rules, 1965 in rule 12-A, after clause

(a) the following clauses shall be inserted namely:—

“(aa) The raiyats may also file application online through electronic mode and

in such event the application fee may be paid through electronic mode.

(ab) The Authorized Officer shall issue a general notice in form 29 inviting objection

from the public on the proposed conversion of the land use within fifteen days

and in case the application is filed online, the general fee shall be realized

through cash or though electronic mode.

(ac) In the event the raiyat applies for conversion of land use of a part of the plot,

then the fee for sub-division of plot may be realized in cash or though electronic

mode.”
