NOTIFICATION

The 24th May, 2018

No. 2502–IX-106/2015/Regn.— In exercise of powers conferred by Section 74 read

with Section 76A of the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 (2 of 1899) and Notification of the

Government of Bihar and Orissa in Finance Department No. 9063/F., dated the 9th July,

1915, the Board of Revenue, Odisha, hereby makes the following rules further to amend

the Odisha Supply and Sale of Stamps and Stamped Papers Rules, 1990, namely :—

(1) Short title and commencement.— (1) These rules may be called the Odisha

Supply and Sale of Stamps and Stamped Papers (Amendment) Rules, 2018.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the

Odisha Gazette.

(3) In rule 26 of the Odisha Supply and Sale of Stamps and Stamped Papers

Rules, 1990, in sub-rule (2), for words, “three lakhs”, the word “five lakhs” shall be

substituted.
