No.18874–FIN-LFA-Cadre-0004/2017/F.— As per the provision under sub-rule-4 of

rule-4 of the Odisha Local Fund Audit (Group-A & Group-B) Service Rules, 2014,”No

Person shall be eligible for promotion to the post of Additional Audit Officer unless, he has

completed twenty years of qualifying service in the cadre of Audit Superintendent (Local

Fund Audit) and Auditor (Local Fund Audit) taken together, out of which such person must

have minimum five years of experience in the post of Audit Superintendent (Local Fund

Audit) on the first day of January of the year in which the Board meets.” At present all the

16 (sixteen ) sanctioned posts of Additional Audit Officer in Local Fund Audit Organisation

are lying vacant due to non-availability of Audit Superintendent having minimum five years

of experience in the post of Audit Superintendent for promotion which adversely affect the

day-to-day affairs of the official business.

Government, therefore, after careful consideration and in exigencies of Public

Service, in exercise of the power conferred u/r 14 of the Odisha Local Fund Audit (Group-

A & Group-B) Service Rules, 2014 in consultation with the Odisha Public Service

Commission have been pleased to relax the minimum five years of experience in the post

of Audit Superintendent, Local Fund Audit as prescribed under sub-rule-4 of rule-4 of the

aforesaid rule & reduced the same to three years, as a onetime measure, for consideration

of promotion of Audit Superintendent, Local Fund Audit to the post of Additional Audit

Officer.
